La Magia Bungalows De Luxe — Hotel in Cahuita

I stayed at this property in Costa Rica for one month and, unfortunately, I would not return. The photos sent to me before booking only showed the charming wooden houses and pool—but not the actual house I was renting, which turned out to be completely different. This lack of transparency felt misleading.

Throughout my stay, the owner repeatedly asked if she could show the house to other potential renters, which meant I had to leave the house so strangers could walk through. I tried to be understanding, knowing she was trying to rent the space, but it was disruptive.

The most upsetting part of my experience happened when the owner—who lives in San José—showed up one Saturday morning and became furious that a neighbor’s dog was on the property. She began throwing rocks at the dog. When I calmly asked her not to do that, she responded by insulting me personally. I came to Costa Rica seeking peace and rest, and instead was met with hostility from the person renting me the home.

I want to be clear that the on-site manager and staff were wonderful—kind, responsive, and helpful. But the owner’s behavior was unacceptable and completely ruined what should have been a peaceful stay. For that reason, I cannot...

Das Hotel hat besteht aus mehreren einzelnen Bungalows. Die Bungalows sind gross, schön eingerichtet und mit Moskitonetzen vollständig abgedichtet. Man hört wunderbar die Tiere im umliegenden Dschungel. Zusätzlich hat es einen Pool und pro Bungalow einen Gartenpavillion. Man merkt, dass alles mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail gemacht wurde! Auch die Gastgeberin Laura ist sehr aufmerksam, hilfreich und unkompliziert. Wenn man ohne Auto reist kann man beim Verleih ganz in der Nähe ein Fahrrad oder Mofa mieten. Das braucht man in Puerto Viejo ohnehin. Super Costa...
