Last Friday, my mom and I had the pleasure of dining at a delightful restaurant nestled by the beach, and it was an evening to remember. From the moment we stepped in, we were captivated by the serene ambiance and the melody of live music that filled the air.
The restaurant's scenic location offered a picturesque view of the ocean, setting the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. We were also treated to a mesmerizing fire show that added an extra layer of magic to the evening.
Now, let's talk about the food. While my mom opted for a vegan dish, I indulged in a delectable pizza. The vegan dish was not only beautifully presented but also bursting with flavor, showcasing the chef's mastery in creating plant-based delights. As for the pizza, every bite was a delightful explosion of goodness and perfectly baked crust, leaving me craving for more.
What truly stood out, however, was the impeccable service we received throughout the evening. The staff was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.
In conclusion, our evening at this charming restaurant was a delightful fusion of delicious cuisine, breathtaking views, and heartwarming hospitality. It's an experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to savor the finer things in life.

Read moreCON ARTISTS My girlfriend and I went for their “happy hour” at 4ish that we saw a sign for earlier in the day on the way to the jaguar rescue center (note it didn’t mention any price just that the drink changed very day, important later). Once seated, we received a menu with no mention of HH. When we asked the waiter he said the 2x1 of the day was the red wine sangria (which wasn’t listed on the menu, important later). We ordered it and then were later told it was $20 for 1. Living in San Francisco I’ve never seen $20 for 1 sangria. We then found Costa Rican law 7472 stated if not listed we should pay a “fair assumption” price. The most expensive cocktail on the menu was $13.40. We protested and the bartender held strong on $20. The waiter then said it was any cocktail 2x1 for $20 which we then said we wouldn’t have done and earlier he said red sangria. The manager then came over and said the sign out front said $20 for 2x1 (which is didn’t) then they took down the sign. We ended up paying the most expensive cocktail on the menu 2x1 after lengthy negotiations. Absolute abuse of customer service, all should be fired. Sangria was also pretty mid very over soda watered. Fruit was 2 pieces of strawberries with 1 tiny orange slice. Atmosphere was decent. A little far from the beach to call it a beach club but decent view of the ocean obscured by...
Read moreI went for my 24th Birthday Celebration and this was my experience:
Pro's: • Menu was very creative and had very authentic options that you won't find in other restaurants.
•In terms of cocktails and entrees, they were my favorite part of the experience. Flavorful and good presentation.
• Beachfront view and not so many mosquitos compared to other places.
Con's:
• I don't recommend this place to young adults. The treatment they gave to more adult looking people and tourist looking persons was way too noticeable and a little bit uncomfortable.
• They took too long to give us a table with the restaurant completely empty, I thought for a moment they were close.
• The women's bathroom that day was in terrible conditions. I found a little girls underwear in the floor and bathroom was smelling awful and full of sand and water. I totally expected a more sanitized restroom.
•Main courses are not as good as entrees. Seasoning could be better.
Recommendations:
• Go after 6pm: The restaurant looks prettier with night lights.
•Sit outside in the beachfront seats, those are the best ones.
Gigi Beach is one of the most expensive and better looking restaurants in Puerto Viejo. For locals who know this, expectations are higher and you...
