I had a great stay at this hotel. It was $14 for a single room (cheaper than a dorm bed in nearby hostels). Check in was smooth. The guy spoke Spanish and let me leave my bag at 10am. It was easy to sleep. Not too loud, no bugs, good temperature. They give you a towel and soap. The shower doesn't have hot water but that's normal here. Someone else posted that it's a long walk upstairs. It's just two flights: one to reception and one to the rooms. Some rooms are on the same level as reception. Either way, it's just a few seconds walking up stairs. Overall I think more people should stay here. The location and price...

Location is very good, 5 minutes walk to Museums, one block from pedestrian Central Ave. Safe place - as everybody have to go through security above the bar, bar patrons can't enter hotel. Nobody speaks any English, but they have a phone translating app. Rooms are bare, beds are uncomfortably hard, no ventilation, no windows in rooms, no soundproofing, bring earplugs as you can hear the bar noise and neighbors.
