TOURIST TRAP!, TOURIST TRAP!, TOURIST TRAP! If you go to this hotel after this review its your own fault. First off the pics on there website looked nothing like the actual. The rooms were horrible, I could not even get them to come and clean our room. We literally had to sweep our own floor to get the sand off, there excuse was that we put up a do not disturb sign. We did not even have a do not disturb sign in the room. No Wi Fi internet except for the lobby. Hot water worked when it wanted to and trickled out of the faucet. Sheets were dirty, beds were uncomfortable. Staff was friendly to your face but never followed through with anything you asked them. The food was disgusting and extremely expensive. Pool was full of sand and hot tub did not work. When we finally got another room which was across the street and closer to the beach, it was full of huge Red Ants!! Be sure to bring your own blow dryer because the rooms did not have one!! No Room service or phone in the room to contact the front desk or maintenance. Our toilet was broken for Two days before they came and fixed it. Overall I feel disgusted with this hotel and our stay in Manuel Antonio. The only good thing about the hotel was the beach which had no monkeys, a sloth was in the tree. Poisonous snakes were around the gardens and the staff was too concerned with the well being of these deadly things to not kill them. Like I said, if you go to this place, good luck! its your own fault. The area of Manuel Antonio was beautiful! but be prepared to pay very expensive rates for everything where ever you go. Most of the business in the area are owned by Americans and ran by locals. Extremely expensive!! but nice if you want people that...
Β Β Β Read moreThe hotel is ok beds are ok and the room and patio is ok. Now the breakfast is terrible! And the staff look like they are always in a bad mood or not willing to work. Tomatoes and cheese remain exposed all morning with mosquitos around it. Rice and beans are not soft at all? The eggs are all tuff and yellow to green color. I requested a fried egg to see if would be a better choice and this lady in the picture did not even ask me how I wanted the eggs done they came super raw the yellow and the white parts π€’ this place is not worth it for 200 usd per night with this type of breakfast and service. You better get an RB&B and buy your own food! The bananas were super smooth like old- the bread a joke like old small pieces of bread very very disappointing. This particular beach has a lot of strong waves and I almost died in this beach! So be careful! Do not bring kids here. The beach next to it is calmer and nicer.
I have stayed in much nicer hotels here before but unfortunately the nice ones that cost me 250 per night 6 years ago now are 1,000 per night! Super over rated. Go to Brazil, Argentina, Mexico-Cancun or even in Florida-US you will find better hotels and services for better prices.
I even in advanced informed the hotel that it was our anniversary but they did not do one little thing to care, one small detail or fruit in the room? Zero! nothing! And the bad service in the breakfast was very frustrating.
Parque Manoel Antonio which I visited a couple of years ago was cheap like 10usd and beautiful. Now?? Crowded, you can only find tickets with tour guides for 50 to 65 US dollars.

Β Β Β Read moreThis hotel is in the PERFECT spot with a walk out onto the ever popular Espadilla Beach. We stayed in one of the Sea Breeze roomsβ¦ the room was basic. A king size (comfy) bed with great pillows, a chair, and a fridge. The bathroom is small, and instead of a ventilation fan it had a βport holeβ with sliding window. The window is maybe 18β wide and 8β tall with no lock and open to a back alley. Anyone from the outside can slide the window and peek in. Ew! If youβre taller than 5β6β or a βheavierβ person.. the shower is going to be too small for you, and the water drains painfully slow. Still.. for the price we paid and the location.. it was all worth it and not all that bad. We had no expectations of the Ritz Carlton.. and we simply had shelter and cold air to free us from the constant rain and humidity. The beach is beautiful, but I felt like more could be done to keep the local βhawkersβ (locals trying to sell you everything.. bracelets, coconut water, towels, rash guards, cigars, soda.. you name it, theyβre trying to sell it) away. Being constantly bombarded by sales people makes the beach less enjoyable, and the hotel staff does nothing to keep the sellers away. Still.. a gorgeous beach, comfortable tables and chairs, a great restaurant with good food (though pricey), and unforgettable sunsets. The entrances in and out of the property via vehicle are treacherous. Breakfast is good enough but.. old after the first morning. Many days of the same breakfast and itβll be a long time before I eat eggs and rice that way again. The staff are all friendly and wonderful. Weβd stay here again but may choose a...
