Dinner was fine, we had ribs they were very good. However I'm definitely not giving a 5 star for one small detail, the one thing that I really hate when it happens. In Costa Rica you can drink tap water, and you can always ask for a glass of water at a restaurant without being charged for it. Except in La Cantina, the waiter asks if you want some water, and then comes back with a large bottle of water (with their brand on the bottle) and fake the opening of the bottle. This was tap water 100%, and the bottle was already open. They just refill the bottles and fake the opening, just as if it was a new bottle everytime. Of course I wasn't expecting to be charge for free water at the end. For a 100USD dinner for two, this was just too much. I let the waiter know, and his reply was: "next time you will know"! That is a small detail but that just gives you a bittersweet feeling of your overall dinner experience. There are two levels wherein the lower level has the local duet musicians playing their tunes (mostly Spanish with English songs in the mix), and the upper quiet area.
