BISHNU HOSTEL — Hotel in City of Zagreb

The Hostel is on the third floor which isn’t terrible however you will have to walk. The location is good and not too loud and you’re pretty close to everything. We stayed three nights and it was pretty bad!!! The rooms are stuffy and smell bad and I was basically sharing my bed with mold. The staff was not very helpful and honestly quite rude, yes we also made a mistake but apart from that we were very respectful and such. The Kitchen is tiny and on day one we found a bowl full of mold in the Cupboard. On or last night there was a dehumidifier in the corner that spilled on the floor which seemed like it was water but it wasn’t it was mixed with the crystalized chemicals and was very sticky and even tho the staff “mopped” it up it didn’t dry until morning and was super slipper. THE WORST part is probably that on all days during our stay the staff would come in early at 9-9.30 and start cleaning the room opening the windows and making over all an insane amount of noise even though check in is only at 14.00. This made it impossible to sleep in or even begin the day in a chill way. There are also only 2 female showers however you can’t really shower at the same time as the doors are glass and one toilet. The staff in addition was constantly occupying the balcony and drinking beer at work while telling us we were too loud as we were watching a short video very quietly. Disrespectful receptionist or owner. He raises his voice on everything and I have been abused with words as I have taken 5 steps into the mopped area to reach my room. My luggage was thrown outside and have been challenged, good luck find new hostel at night 10:55 CET. This rude behavior I have not seen travelling 20 countries stayed in airbnb or hostelworld, various sponsored trips by my organization. This hostel is 1 euro cheaper than most local operated hostels and you will get respectful treatment. As many said, hostel is in 3rd floor, no lift, smaller toilet, shower are adjustable as we choose. But not the disrespectfulness, which ruins the very spirit of holidays and happiness. I am raised complaint to booking.com yet to hear. When I was my room, suddenly loud voices coming around. I came out the room and found that a white man, Luka and a guest was fighting (not quarrel, punching each other). Since it was intense I tried to stop them, but Luka was so upset that he canceled MY booking unilaterally. Of course I asked the reason why do I need to go out and he said "Because I don't like you"

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS？？？ An employee who is not even hotel owner kicks out its guest without legitimate reason! I did not even fight with him nor blame him. The only thing I said was "Calm down" and he cancelled my booking. I still remember he told that he just used his power.

So, I only recommend this hostel for those who wants to take a risk of losing your bed without making any mistakes. If not, you shoul avoid staying here untill it is confirmed that Luka is fired. I am currently contacting to booking.com support, but I don't know if I can take back my money.
