I ended up having lunch at this amazing, luxury restaurant (luxury not because of the prices, prices were way too low in comparison to the server, food, atmosphere; varying from 10 to 30 euro main for the main course); the elegancy of the restaurant is just something out of this world. The music is calming, the food is excellent, I tried traditional Croatian food, main dish based on a stew of monkfish, mussels, prawns, vegetables, served with polenta. Then I tried typical dish as a warm starter, a pie filled with some goat cheese; I would move here only for this delicious pie... I am not a big eater, normally I don't order this amount of food, I was afraid I wouldn't finished it, however, I was so surprised because of the wide range of flavours, not heavy at all, (if you go there I would just suggest to skip breakfast and dinner because portion are large). The kindness and attention to the details of the professionals that work there is amazing. Espresso is of a true Italian taste. A suggestion to the future customers, bring some cash with you as tips are not charged by card because of the taxes on the tips (very sad from Croatian government), luckily I had some cash, so I could tip. Highly recommended. I don't review usually places, but this is was a surprise from each perspective. Wonderful experience.

In my experience I would even give it 6 stars. Let's start with the hospitality, the girls at the entrance were really kind and helpful, they accompanied us inside the restaurant to show us and choose the place we liked most. Let’s continue with the service once we get to the table, the waiter who followed us through the dinner was impeccable, very kind and willing to give advice on the menu and wines. Let's move on to the best part, the food. We ordered the octopus with cream cheese and polenta, and the monkfish with cream of cauliflower, they were both very good, especially the octopus, cooked to perfection which, with the combination of cream cheese and polenta, became a combination of flavors that made you hope it never ends. We conclude with the dessert, we tried the Mocha Caramel a cake with mascarpone and coffee cream, very delicate and delicious, and even the homemade Međimurska gibanica with their variant, it is not easy to describe the flavor, it is a particular dessert with many ingredients inside, the predominant taste is: apples and walnuts with a little taste of cream. If you like Strudel you will like this one as well. In my opinion, it is worth all the money they ask for the quality of the food but also for the impeccable service throughout the dinner.

Generally mixed feelings about this place. Food was good (except for the heavily overcooked pasta with truffle), value for money is decent but service was infuriatingly poor/non-existent at best. If you want a good meal, potentially accompanied with no professionalism or service, this is the place for you. Most other reviews here talk of great service however we did not receive any of that. Our waiter did not give us any information about the menu nor the dishes. He did not make eye contact with us at any point. He collected our dishes and left mid-sentence - "Are you done with your meal? Was it..." I guess if he wanted to know if our meal was good but didn't actually care to hear our feedback. Additionally we were seated on a table at the edge of the restaurant next to the store room which had a bright light coming through the window next to us that came on and off throughout our meal. This was annoying given that there was multiple free tables in the centre of the restaurant. This is evident in the photos shared. Finally, we tried to book a table via their online booking tool on their website. We never received a confirmation and had to come in person again to confirm the booking. After telling us the restaurant was full despite our advance booking, they agreed to give us a table. I suppose that is why they gave us the worst possible table in the restaurant and gave us no service.

Booked for 7pm but I arrived early at 5.30pm. Got a seat near their famous old section (see photo of section with red brick dome like ceilings). Ordered their beef steak with au gratin and sautéed mushrooms. Paired with a Bosnian & Herzegovina red. For dessert, I had to try Paski Sir which is cheese from the sea breeze swept island Pag. The steak was perfect. Without me yelling then how well I want it cooked, the meat arrived seared on the outside and pink inside. But no blood was observed. The full bodied red was a little underwhelming. Perhaps I was half expecting the wonderful Syrah I got in Serbia. But still a good wine. Must grab a couple of bottles when I get to Bosnia. As for the Paski Sir, the cheese itself was salty, made from milk of sheep grazing the hardy shrubs that can withstand the harsh salty sea breeze. Alas it’s a hard cheese (I prefer softer cheese). Total damage was Euros 58 including a bottle of sparking water. Not Michelin but should be close. Do make reservations. The place was quite packed when I left close to 8pm.

A pretty decent eatery. We ordered some of their staples like lamb shank and also one of their weekly menu, which was pulled goat meat with rösti. The lamb was fine and the potato sides was nice, but I believe a more generous serving of the red wine sauce would be better, especially if you consider the price of one portion. The turkey leg was okay but I don't think there's much to say. The goat on the other hand was delicious and very flavourful despite its unassuming look, but the rösti kind of threw the balance away. It was seasoned unevently and was sous vide and not fried, which was the main point of a rösti. A more generous serving of the sauce would also make this dosh even better.

Nice and cosy atmosphere, quiet music which I really appreciate since I hate when I cannot talk normally because of too loud music. Really nice and comfortable interior. Staff is friendly and helpful and food is prepared excellently. That was the good part. The bad part is that it is definitely overpriced and the portions are REALLY really small. I don't care how well your food is prepared if I have to go to McDonalds later to get full you have failed as a restaurant. I wasn't even "nicely" filled, I was left literally hungry. Also it's in the center so you can forget about parking space. If it wasn't so expensive I would give it 3 stars. Maybe it's the hunger talking 😉 Will not return.
