Overall, the hotel itself offers a very high standard of service. The room was comfortable, perfectly clean, and the breakfast was excellent — everything left a very good impression at first.
However, there was one truly terrible aspect that unfortunately overshadowed our entire stay: the presence of a nightclub (to be more precise, more of an alcohol den than a real club) located just across the street. We booked a room for one night only, specifically so that we could wake up at 6 a.m. and catch a ferry to Venice at 7 a.m. Instead, the nightclub’s party started around 11 p.m. and went on until 4 a.m. Our room happened to be on the corner of the hotel, closest to this nightclub, which made things even worse.
No matter what we tried — shutters fully closed, pillows over the head, even AirPods with noise cancelling — nothing helped to block out the deafening noise. Honestly, it was a complete nightmare. At 1 a.m. we went down to the reception to ask if it was possible to get earplugs or move to another room further away. Unfortunately, there was only a night guard on duty who could not help in any way. He only mentioned that such loud parties especially happen on Saturdays and “should” end by 2 a.m. — but in fact, it lasted until 4 a.m.
I cannot judge how legal it is to allow such noise in the city center, but the situation was appalling. On one hand, it seems unfair to blame the hotel directly. On the other hand, when you pay nearly €200 for a night, the very least you expect is to be able to sleep and rest. We also specifically mentioned at check-in that we needed to wake up very early — yet we received no warning that such a disturbance was likely.
In the end: a sleepless night, a ruined next day, and a very disappointing experience overall. I wish I could give a better review, but this was simply...
Read moreThis hotel completely ruined our stay. Nowhere did it mention that there is a nightclub nearby that makes it absolutely impossible to sleep. The night was a nightmare — music blasting until morning, and even with the windows shut it was impossible to get any rest. The hotel did not provide earplugs, did nothing after guests complained, and simply ignored the issue. This is outrageous. For this price, such conditions are unacceptable. No services or amenities can make up for a sleepless night. Definitely not worth the money. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who expects even a few...
