We were at the Bacchus the night before, and decided to give it a try to other bars on the street.

Unfortunately the experience was not the best. All the food platters are always for 2 people, and the night before at Bacchus a food platter for one was already enormous and enough for us two. So, we have decided to only have wine and have dinner with real food somewhere else later. I wonder if you are traveling alone how will you finish a food platter for two or what will you order from the menu.

Also, the prices are way higher than the other bars on the street, and the waiter was all the time on his phone. He did not seemed interested in taking orders or in his work.

That is probably why it was the emptiest bar on the street...

I was disappointed after reading the other reviews. The house wine is fine and cheap by European standards (€5/glass). We had much better wine at the same price elsewhere in Istria; but it was still fine.

The let down was the food. The tuna salad is pictured with tuna steak but served with tinned tuna; the dishes in general had low quality ingredients and basic preparation (e.g. caprese salad with tired tomatoes and bland mozzarella).
