This was possibly the worst restaurant visit I ever had.
Tl;dr: neither any corona safety measurements nor any respect for self protection, language barriers, disgusting food, slow service and overall chaos.
After entering, we were greeted by a waiter with "mask free zone! Vaxzervia free [sic!]", which was clearly aimed at our self protective measurements against Covid (basically just masks), but nevertheless we carried on thinking we maybe misheard him. We received a table for seven on the second floor, which was basically next to a balcony of the neighboring building, which clearly smelled off.
One person in our group is vegan, so we asked if there are any inherently vegan options on the menu, since none are labeled as such. The waiter didn't know what vegan meant, so we explained it and we asked for the truffle tagliatelle without butter, but with olive oil instead.
To our suprise the dish arrived no less than four minutes later, even though the salad starters weren't even here yet. A few minutes later the salads arrived, the cucumbers were already dried out, the salad itself looked already pretty bad and was also full of dirt. The rest of the dishes were either horrible or at least disappointing and arrived at least 30 minutes after the "vegan" dish (how is this acceptable?!). Especially the tagliatelle with truffle were the worst I have ever tasted, the vegan, as well as the standard version (the vegan didn't even look or taste any different, so possibly it wasn't even vegan). The food was nowhere near authentic italian so for example the Spaghetti carbonara don't deserve it's name.
I will have to add that the female waiter was definitely willing and polite (seemed like she was the only one).
In the end we decided to leave mostly hungry, since most of the dishes were pretty bad, so after asking for the bill and waiting another 10 minutes we decided to go downstairs and pay directly on our way out. Even though they use an electric registry, they didn't have any records of our dishes and drinks, so we had to go through them on our own and the male waiter was extremely rude.
In conclusion, I would advise anyone to not go there, Porec has much better restaurants! For anyone with at least a grain of taste, I beg you not...

There are mediocre restaurants in Croatia and they don't brag about their service and meals, they are just average and you know what you get. This restaurant, contrary to mentioned, makes an image of good restaurant on paper but they are nothing close to good restaurants. Service personel is tiring, they buzz around without any honey made. We ordered two pizzas and three drinks. Two of three drinks were poured from bottle on bar, not served on table, cola tasted so bad. Pizza, on the other hand was awful, one of the worst ever, we found foil in one, reported it to the waiter when he asked if everything was ok, but he made no apologies or change whatsoever.
It's a shame this places exist in a country where everyone depends on tourism and takes care about their costumers, this just puts bad picture about Croatia, which is near perfect in tourism standards.
PS if you are going to toilet, bring your bulb because there...
Read moreI definitely do not recommend this restaurant. The food was horribly oversalted, the meat was dry, and it tasted like something from a cheap cafeteria.
The staff was unprofessional; we had to wait a long time before we could even order. The waiters were drinking hard liquor with guests, and in the end, we waited another 20 minutes to pay before we just gave up and left the money on the table.
The head waiter or manager (or whatever he is) is a classic scammer, and the moment you place your order, nobody cares about you anymore.
The worst part of it all is that they ask customers if they can write a review themselves... We saw with our own eyes how the waiter took a customer's phone and wrote a review himself... This happened twice during the course of the evening.
I absolutely do not...
