Booked the bed at 21 30pm. Got a text 10 mins later informing me if I wont come by 22 I ll get 8 euro penalty charge. ||I stopped what I was doing and run to the hostel to check in. ||Came 21:58 looking for a door bell decided to make a phone call instead. The lady buzzed the doors and I got in to the building. ||1st thing I noticed was 1 inch cockroach wondering on the stairway. ||||When i got in a lady was waiting for us to check us in. ||After we have ahead told us there is no spare key so I needed to tell her what time I ll be back. I said i dunno i want to take my partner for a meal and have couple of drinks. ||This seemed trouble the lady in a short hair to the point that I got to listen to her personal issues in regards to her boss and work place. ||Additionally she said I'd I dont like it she can cancel the room and i can go somewhere else. ||I asked her to no to sabotage me as I have a right to come back when I want. ||Then again I ve been given another explanation that I was 1 minute late after 22 ( I wasnt ) so she can refund me and go anywhere else. ||||And I have. ||||Wild wild west. ||||Lastly. Rooms had bunk beds with no privacy curtain totally exposed to the person opposite. ||A big no. ||||I decided to get a refund and cancel the booking. ||Lady said. Read moreThe hostel is located in a traffic free zone. Therefore you need to park your car in an underground parking 500 meters away. After pulling your luggage all the way from the parking lot to the hostel you finally arrive at the hostel. The entrance and the stairwell does remind you that you're entering a squat (see pictures). After carrying your luggage 2 stairs up sweating like a horse, the door is closed. After ringing the doorbell multiple times nobody answers the door. Finally decided to ring the owner who was very unfriendly saying that cleaning lady should be present although no sign of live. The hostel has no reception so you cannot leave your luggage in custody. After waiting 10 more minutes we rang the owner again asking to come over and let us in which he refused. We told him we would like to cancel the room after which he brutally disconnected the call. The money for the room he refused to give it back although we didn't stay at the hostel and we even couldn't access the hostel....

Only the check-in was a little cumbersome: after walking up two flights of not very well-lit stairs, I arrived at a door on which there was a sign with a telephone number to call for check-in. Since my phone didn't have any reception at that time (for whatever reason) I rang the doorbell; after a few minutes of waiting a guest opened the door and had to call for check-in for me.
