The greatest assets of our apartment here(we stayed for a week) were the absolutely stunning views of Trogir's beautiful and historic waterfront, and its handy location close to the town(merely 10 minutes walk away).Great for those without a car,as bus services from Trogir's bus station, only 15 minutes away, give easy access to the island of Ciovo(on which the apartments are sited),also to Split where a multitude of ferries run to the many islands, notably Brac and Hvar.Plus Trogir is merely 3 miles away from Split airport. In short, for us an ideal location! And compared with other apartments in the immediate area,we paid a very reasonable price.||For the best view,we used a top-floor apartment with a good-sized balcony. The apartment is listed as a 2-bed one.Although it has sufficient space for 4 adults, and sufficient beds, one bed being a large sofa-bed,we felt that wardrobe space was not enough for 4 adults:but not a problem for a couple like us.Would suit a couple with 2 younger children.Kitchen cupboard space and kitchen equipment and utensils are more than enough for 4 adults, though. As always in Croatia, all was very clean. There is the bonus here of a nicely-sized pool, though we did not use it.||As our sea-view apartment faced north, the downside is that there is no direct sun until well into the afternoon.I got more sun by sitting on the west end of my balcony, and this was also found on the large terrace on the floor below. But those wanting the sun can book an apartment facing south, but lacking the super view!To be fair,as we were out most of the day, lack of morning sun wasn't a problem.||The owner,Dar,was very welcoming and helpful, and we had the chance to sample some of his home-made wine with him.The landing aircraft passing close and directly overhead added to the excitement and charm of being here, and did not fly late enough to disturb our sleep:from the apartments you could actually look directly down the line of the runway!||Thanks to Dar for an excellent and memorable...
Read moreWe couldn't have asked for more in what was an overnight stay in Trogir before flying home from Split the following morning. The apartment was a little tricky to find and although close to the Centre when you get off the bus with bags (and have children with you!) I'd probably advise a taxi. Saying that the owner Dar Orlic is obviously well know as we were well directed! He is a real character and a really nice man who is very welcoming (thank you for the glass of whisky and the evening chat!) and genuine. He arranged the taxi transfer for us in the morning as well. This proved to be really good as the roads are almost gridlocked in August as it is so busy in Trogir.||||As others have said it is right under the flight path into Split which we all found fascinating for the night we stayed and they are not landing continuously by any means! (There were no flights after 11pm and before 7am that I heard!). The views from the room facing the old town were amazing. We sat watching the world go by with a beer on the balcony and it was an incredible view and bizarrely the view from the toilet (apartment called Daniel) when a plane goes over is amazing as you can follow it down and see it land at Split airport! ||||The rooms are well kitted out - 2 adults 2 children slept comfortably - one double bed and one pull out sofa which was quite comfortable. The kids loved the small pool and I would say that it was very good value as it was cheaper than other places we looked at. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it - definitely as an overnight or perhaps...
Read moreWhilst I agree the view from our apartment (Daniel) was lovely and the bathroom was brand new and sparkling the rest was shabby and dated. We had no water for two days which was not the owners fault but did not help. The bedroom was very small you could not open the wardrobe and pass the bottom of the bed at the same time. No a/c in the bedroom and you could not leave the windows open for the noise from the planes, church bells and local dogs so the only solution was so leave the a/c on in the lounge and the door open at night. When we arrived there was a bottom sheet on the bed and two folded up sheets on the top which turned out to be only big enough to cover one person. It was very hot and humid while we were there and I had to go and ask the cleaning lady to put a clean sheet on the bed half way through the week and empty the bins, her response was "if I have time". It had become apparent that the apartment was not going to get serviced at any time during the week which is not what I pay...
