Good luck finding this place if it’s your first time in Zadar. And if you’re driving? Double that luck, plus a bonus prayer. Tip: look up, pretend you’re just “exploring the neighborhood,” and memorize the names of nearby shops like you’re studying for a pop quiz. Parking karma may or may not save you. Once inside, it’s actually quite lovely. The rooms are brand new, modern, clean… and small. The beds are also small - charming if you’re a solo traveler under 1.70m, but mildly comedic if you’re part of the genetically gifted Dalmatian crowd (which, oddly enough, includes most of the hotel staff). But the comfort and feel is really good, and you'll actually get a good night of sleep, regardless my legs were sticking out. But the star of the show? The breakfast. The extended restaurant space is airy, pleasant, and everything from the espresso to the omelettes feels like it belongs in a fancier hotel than the GPS-defying one you finally found. A’mare means “to love” in Italian. You'll definitely love the morning and the breakfast - and if you fit in the bed, maybe the rest too. Genuinely nice service.

We had a wonderful stay at A’mare Hotel! We were only here for 2 short nights, but it was well worth the stay. The hotel in general is easy to find and very welcoming upon arrival. (We noticed a few reviews about a bad neighborhood, but we did not feel unsafe or uncomfortable) The rooms are very very clean and comfortable. We walked into our room and they were the crispiest, white sheets I’ve ever seen; you can tell the staff have a very high standard when it comes to cleaning 👍🏼 Lastly, we had an issue with our car being towed (to our own fault). The staff at the front desk went above and beyond to help us (luckily they were familiar with the company and were able to assist easily). We got our car back in under an hour all thanks to the helpful staff. We also asked the bartender for drinks to take back to our room and he kindly offered us drinks with no issues. He even provided a small ice bucket on the side! Overall, can’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking to stay at a hotel in Zadar! [Deluxe Double Room]

Revie for restaurant only I stumbled upon this spot by chance, and it was a pleasant surprise given its location. The establishment has a distinct European charm, complete with great interior and exterior design, quality furnishings, and professional-looking staff. I opted for the soup and a fish mix, which I later learned was more of a snack than a main course. Unfortunately, the fish was overly salted and dry. The soup was decent, though. Overall, the place has great potential, and I have confidence that the owners will make improvements to enhance the food quality. This place doesn't have many reviews yet, but definitely worth to visit if you around this area.

This hotel deserves all the praises it can get and at least four star rating, because it is amazing in all its segments. Everything is spotless clean, interior is completely new and nicely designed. I would especially like to point out the folloeing: Hotel restaurant The restaurant offers amazing food at great prices. Everything on the menu is authentic dalmatian food, with lot of fish, risottos and pasta. All the dishes on the card are prepared with great technique and amazing flavours and textures. As if that wasnt enough, they make their own bread which is super soft and tasty! Congrats to the chef and I warmly recommand risotto with lamb. Just as a comparison, we wisited another restaurant in Zadar which has Michelin recommandation. The A'mare restaurant offers much much better food and overall experience. Staff The staff is extremely professional and at disposition at all time. Waiters at the restaurant are very tentive not to keep guests waiting and they showed great effort to meet all of our needs or special requests. They are fast and keep the tables clean and desinfected all the time.

Housekeeping The room was super clean, every single detail in the room looked freshly cleaned, even the bin. Spotless clean! Every day we got new sheets and new towels. The room itself had all new furniture with huge cozy bed and mattress.

Definitely great experience at...

This spring was my first time at the hotel, Marko was brilliant he checked me in gave me great information and was very kind, didn't get to say goodbye but overall the stay was great. It was very quiet in the room, it was also hot but, it was explained that the hotel was still on winter setting and the heating was still on. Luckily the door/window was able to open fully to allow fresh air. The walls in the room were a bit scratched but not a bother room was very clean and smelled amazing as well. The location was perfect! Loved being able to wake up and go for an early morning walk by the sea and just near old town. I visited with my 6 year old, so it's very child friendly, the rooms were cleaned often enough and the cleaning staff were always smiling and friendly. The only downside I would say were the food options I'm vegan so there weren't any vegan options on the main menu, I ordered sides which were very nice. I did eat out and ordered in using a delivery app. The mornings for breakfast was a bit crowded and you can work your way around it, I did appreciate that they had dairy free milk. The staff in the restaurant were also very accommodating. Safe to say my overall stay was great, I'll recommend and I'll...

Hotel A’mare is one of those places that’s hard to rate. On the one hand, it’s only rated 3 stars, but in many ways, it felt like one of the better 3-star hotels I’ve stayed in.||The rooms were a good size, with strong air conditioning and a nice shower. The kitchenette was a bit on the small side, and the mini fridge in particular was very limited. The provided shower products (soap, shampoo) were low quality, and we didn’t really enjoy using them.||On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and professional – both check-in and check-out were smooth. The breakfast buffet was also impressive for a hotel in this category, definitely a highlight.||Parking is only available on the street (free), which worked fine for us, but be very careful not to block anyone as cars do get towed. There is no private parking.||As for the location, it’s only a short drive to the old city, but the immediate surroundings gave off more of a “bad part of town” vibe, with some ongoing construction and neglected infrastructure like sidewalks.||Overall, I would say it’s a solid 3-star choice with good value, especially if you don’t mind the area and bring your...
