Went there around 7pm and we were the only guests. Maybe there are more people late evening (who knows). I had a combo of one skewer and two pieces of cevapci (39kn). And it was very good! Served with pita bread, fresh cheese and some red onions. I ordered supplement of ajvar sauce (3kn). And it became even more delicious with ajvar. It is a perfect combination. I asked the chef about the meat and he said he only used beef meat and think it is correct. I agree with one critique saying Gricko is the best cevapci in town. Despite the simplicity of the dishes, it was one one the better one in Zadar! I recommend a visit for both lunch and dinner. P.s We went here again for lunch and tried the home made sausage as well. The owner is very kind and gave me a discount of 1 kuna again since he didn't have the change. Confirmed that the cevapci he serves is the...
Read moreI recently had dinner at Gricko and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, but what truly made the evening special was our waiter. From the moment we sat down, he was incredibly attentive, polite, and genuinely friendly. He took the time to explain the specials, offered helpful recommendations based on our preferences, and made sure we always had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. You could really tell he cared about making sure we had a great dining experience. Small details like remembering our drink choices and checking in at just the right moments made all the difference. It’s rare to come across service this professional and warm at the same time. I’d come back to Gricko not just for the food, but because of how well we were treated. A huge thanks to waiteres – you made...

But the food (very good quality), the sizes (big!) and the owner's son made it all up. Bit of a shame that I understand some Croatian swearwords....if staff would have just shouted and insulted each other instead of me and ny poor old mother.....fine. but to call me and my mom a ga and p*a when we where onlu asking for some extra bread and tzaziki..
