We saw some reviews online and actually saw this listing on Airbnb, so contacted them. Petra, one of the staff during the day, quickly convinced us over airbnb chat, that we should just pay her cash once we arrived and not book through the portal, and she will give us a discount. Foolishly, we agreed, and upon getting to the location, paid over $380 in cash to check in. We were only there for the night and she instated that we have to checkout by 10 or 10:30 at most, because they are full. The location is lovely, but there were many housekeeping issues, the beds were both stained, the AC did not work, you cannot control the temp, the dishwasher was full and dirty, we had to wash the dishes. We used the key card to enter the room and when we went to our car outside to bring some items in, it was midnight by the way, the key card did not work on the way in! We were stuck outside for over half an hour until we had to find someone to call our family member who was sleeping
In the morning, the elevator was out of order, so we had to lug our luggage down to leave
We spoke to Petra in the morning, first of all, had to wait for 20 mins until til she came to the front desk, there was no staff in the building at all. She had an excuse for everything and her inexperience as guest services showed clearly. Instead of an apology for any of the above, she in fact started pointing out how everything was our fault, that being locked out was not a true emergency and they are not a hotel but an apartment so there was no help on staff and we should have carried our phones lol The service was the most disappointing part, and she refused to get us help to get luggage down, gave us no indication or estimate of when the elevators would work, we had waited for over an hour at that point. She pointed out to us that she was not responsible for anything that went wrong, that dirty bedding or unwashed dishes was not her responsibility, nor the key card not working or us being locked out and having no help from them.
We tried to connect w her before leaving and waited around reception and even went up the stairs to find her, but there was no staff member to be found in the entire building
We would not return again and regret wasting our money at a place where there is no staff or aid, no responsibility for their errors, no offer of any apology, blaming guests, and the one person on site was so...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about La Vista Suites.
We arrived quite late so we were given instructions for how to get in. Everything was clear and simple. They so kindly upgraded us to what I believe was the Penthouse and it was incredible. So beautiful and comfortable. The ladies we interacted with were very friendly and helpful.
The location is wonderful. Beautiful views and being away from the center, you're not bothered by the noise so you're able to fall asleep listening to the sea. It's still close enough, though, that you can easily go whenever you'd like - about 20 minutes, but I'm a slow walker. I was originally concerned about the distance, but it wasn't an issue in the least.
We only went to breakfast the first morning at the restaurant downstairs and it was just as good as the other reviews say. An interesting take on French toast, but delicious.
It's usually very difficult for me to find pillows that don't give me a neck ache or headache - especially in hotels, but these were excellent. The bedding and mattress were also extremely comfortable and the L'Occitane soaps were lovely.
If I had to note one thing that was less than perfect, it would be the TVs. Perhaps I missed the setting, but they didn't seem to have any option to cast content from a phone or tablet. Smart TVs with this functionality are so cheap these days that it seems strange to not have this in a hotel/aparthotel of this caliber.
Despite the TV, though, we had an excellent stay. This is the only place we'll stay at in Zadar. If you're considering La Vista Suites, just book it. You...
Read moreLast of a 7 night stay here. Loved every minute of it 10/10. Rooms- (we had a balcony/sea view) spacious. Well decorated. Clean. Nice balcony. Superb air con,, mini fridge , Beach towels provided and the wife was particularly impressed with the l’Occitane shower gel/ shampoo/conditioner 👍. (And there was a decent hairdryer supposedly) The roof top pool is lovely. Is quiet. The views are superb, Great to relax or watch the boats out at sea.
They don’t have a bar/restaurant on site but there is one downstairs called Karma which will bring Drinks & Food up to the pool for you. It was well used while we were there. We ate there a few times and it was always lovely. Good choice. Top quality and friendly staff.
One thing I’d love to have seen was an ice machine. A lot of the guests ( like us) brought our own drinks up to the pool and the lack of a freezer in the room means you can’t get any ice 😢
Otherwise it’s a lovely place. In a lovely place 😁 20 mins flat walk to the old town Book direct and not on an app ! We got a way better...
