Pros: - swimming pool was a big bonus - close to the beach - you just cross the road - swimming pool towels by the pool - sunbeds and umbrellas by the pool - I found fresh fruit for breakfast (I am vegan gluten-free so it's not that easy to find things to eat) - clean hotel - good wifi, worked also by the pool and in my room - luggage storage available by the reception - all the receptionists were nice Cons: - too expensive for what you get. At least the price I got here on Booking for me only (1 person) was too much for just a small room with breakfast. - the gate between the hotel and the beach was supposed to be open using the code until 11 pm but I walked from the old town around 10:45 pm trying to open the gate several times and even though it showed a green sign, it was locked already and I could not get into the hotel. I had no idea how else to get to the hotel so I kept walking around at night looking for another gate/door. I advised the receptionist about it afterwards. - no plant-based milk or yoghurts at breakfast, no gluten free bread/pastry etc. Things like these are very normal at hotel breakfast in other countries and should be as well at such an expensive hotel as H Kolovare - the swimming pool was smaller in real life than I thought it would be from the photos

All in all it's a decent hotel but loses in many small points...marginally a 3 star hotel but in a nice location outside of old town yet close enough. Friendly personnel. It's a clean hotel..but I cannot understand why they had to put carpet on the floor of the renovated rooms??? That's so disappointing. Plus the toilet seat is 10cm higher then normal and The safe box is small and not available. The breakfast was below average due to the absence of juices and healthy products...but then again its winter and the hotel is empty. They charge parking to everyone! And last self ironing is not that easy, but available. Generally good but not for business...maybe for middle aged people on group holiday!

The hotel lobby is large and spacious, but unfortunately our room at least was not. That said it perhaps the only flaw. Well, the walkway to the rooms weren't exactly wide either. The hotel's card key works in a peculiar way. It causes the door indicator to flash flickering red. This means you can push the door open and not that there is an error. Even the front desk admitted it could be confusing. Breakfast area does resemble a canteen but the quality of food served is good. So, cannot judge from its look. The best thing in our view is the ease to walk back to the old town from the hotel. Turn left out of the hotel and 10 minutes to the sea organ!

I was thoroughly disappointed with my stay at Hotel Kolovare. Upon check-in, the receptionist showed a complete lack of professionalism by practically tossing my room keys and ID onto the counter instead of handing them to me politely. This initial experience set the tone for the rest of my stay.

The breakfast provided was of very low quality, lacking variety and freshness. It was far below the standard I expected from a hotel of this caliber.

Furthermore, the pool area was incredibly frustrating to deal with, primarily due to the behavior of other guests. Many of the German visitors would reserve sun loungers with towels, only to leave them unused for extended periods. The pool staff did nothing to address this issue, which made it difficult to find available seating. The situation could have been easily managed if the staff implemented a policy where loungers left unattended for more than 20 minutes were freed up for other guests. Instead, I had to confront a particularly rude couple, which made the experience even more unpleasant.

Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel. The lack of customer service and poor management of the facilities seriously impacted what should have been a...

The hotel is well located - maybe a bit far, but still walkable to the city center. Free and fairly secure parking space. Rooms large enough, with functioning AC and WiFi - not very fast but OK. There is a fridge and safe in the room, minibar is paid, also for water. Bathroom - all good, clean, plenty of amenities which were daily replenished - not something happening in all hotels. Breakfast is good, lots of choices, weakest is selection of juices (coloured water I think) and coffee is a bit lacking. There is also generally relaxed feeling throughout the hotel, also in the pool area, which is great. Some carpets really could use a cleaning, the staff during breakfast is unnecessarily loud, making a lot of noise with plates, cutlery and conversations. Our hairdryer was a very basic one and gave up first time we used it, but was replaced. Given the mediterranean location, I would really appreciate a better selection of juices during breakfast, fresh orange juice would...
