We were 21 persons arriving at Pansion Maria in the evening but Zoran, the owner made arrangements with taxi transfer and return from airport for 99 KN(Croatian Kuna). His wife Julia & family see that we are well served in the morning with good continental breakfast. Though the breakfast is more or less the same every morning but their service and friendliness made us so felt at home that the issue is solved more or less. He made arrangements for excursions to Kornati island,Plitvicka Jezera National Park and etc. Those who like nature, waterfalls and mountain climbing I would recommend Plitvicka Jezera National Park. And those who like sun-bathing,swimming and having breakfast & lunch on the boat with beautiful coastal sceneries surrounding you then I recommend the excursion to Kornati. islands. Breakfast to Kornati island is simple sandwich and lunch consisted of simple grilled fish or meat with veges not luxurious but maybe enough for the trip for certain folk. Not to disappoint, one can bring extra their own taste along the trip in case. The area is quiet and there´s a car-park for guests. The rooms are clean and air-con is functioning perfect. His recommendation to the old city, the shortest way by a row boat is interesting and eerie for certain people, cost only 5 KN per head or else one can take abit longer way via "Most Bridge". His recommendation to a sea-food restaurant nearby is also good as they accept credit-cards as not many places do. On the whole,I would recommend this hotel or pensionette to others as I`m sure Zoran & family would see that your stay with them is worth the money. Even though Zoran´s hotel won´t accept credit-cards may due to the facts that they close their establishments during the winter time from Oct-April,there are many atm-machines everywhere to draw out and Zoran is wonderful, speaking many languages like English,Croatian,German,Italian,Russian and some French to assist you anytime. My wife and I would definitely stay there the next time we visit Zadar if on...
Read moreWe arrived here in a terrific storm. Luckily the welcome from Zoran the owner was warm and the friendliest I have recieved at a B&B! He is a delight and spent ages giving us info, asking us questions and making sure we knew how much was too much to pay for a taxi to the town. No taxi is needed, however as it's a 15 min walk to the old town or you can walk for 5mins and pay 50p for the barkarioli (a man with a small wooden boat with 1oar) to row you across to the island. Great quiet location to be in just out of the centre making it great value||||The rooms are smallish and simply decorated but very clean and have everything you need for a comfortable night or two. Breakfast is served in a covered outdoor area and was perfect to set you up for the day. Overall we were sad to leave but were lucky to have been invited to be part of Zorans...
Read moreNothing is too much trouble for Zoran the owner. We arrived on a late flight, he organised the taxi and transfer to the ferry the next day and recommended a restaurant nearby. The room was spotless, clean linen, good aircon and a small but adequate bathroom. He arranged an early morning breakfast with eggs, cold meats, yoghurts, fruit, fresh bread and good coffee on a shady patio in the garden. We rang him later in the week to check in for one night before our flight home and again everything was arranged on the spot. He always has a smile and gave us good advice for a visit to Zadar. A 15 minute walk takes you to the boatman who will row you across to the old town, well worth spending a day wandering the streets in this picturesque and friendly place. Thank you Zoran and family for making our first visit to Croatia so charming....
