Park Vruljica — Attraction in Grad Zadar

Well, I live in the very close proximity of the park but I rarely have the urge to spend my time in the park. it's more of a place I have to cross going somewhere. Why is that? The park is pretty much wild with the small playground for kids. That's not necessary a bad thing but I feel that the rest of the park deserves better. The cross park paths should be sorted with few more benches, some native plants could be planted and looked after, the stream corridor could be kept clean and free of debris etc. On my horror somebody has decided that installing a new exercise equipment in the ex bowling concrete enclosure is a way to go to make our living more fulfiled. Curiously, the equipment is being installed by a crew from Slovakia that came over in rented Vans. I just hope we are getting good value for tax...

Excellent playground for children with various equipment located near city center. There is a stream of water passing in between green area dominated by trees. In the central part of it there is a restorant where is possible to drink coffee and other bevareges only if you are not interested in eating. There is also a walkway for nice relaxing in the nature, gym in the open and nice grass land area for picnic. Good idea to bring mosqito repelant in summer time. All and all great place to escape city heat wheather you come in a group or alone. And yes there are benches situated in shade...

It's a really beautiful park with a lot of games for all ages (including a sports session for adults). It is clean. There is a park for cars just close, but it is not too big (max 5 cars but to keep in mind there also a bar/restaurant). The entire park is in the shadow of trees.

Negative points: Small park for cars. No place to take water to drink and clean up the hands. Bar/restaurant is quite expensive. There are not toilet.

Final comment: If you want to relax, this place is really a good solution. We spent more than 1 hour before we reached the airport and all the family...
