THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I booked a room at this hotel through Booking.com and when I got to to the adress there was nobody at the reception even though on the site it was mentioned that the reception is open till 22:00. After more that 15 minutes since my taxi driver called the number displayed on the door, time spent standing alone in the middle of the street in front of the door, a guy came and, after making me wait another 20-30 minutes, while he was talking on the phone, he told me, in a very broken english, that they actually don't have a room available for me because the room they have is for another reservation made by a person who was going to pay cash, and I should cancel my reservation on the website and go find another hotel. At 10 PM. A single woman who just got to Cyprus for the very first time. I asked to talk to the manager and he kept on telling me that the manager doesn't answer the phone, while he was actually talking to someone. I told him I will not leave and I will not cancel my reservation from my side because I will be charged cancellation fee. While I was there a family who was staying there came very angry to complain that they never had hot water since they came and they could not take shower. After he saw I was serios about not leaving he finally called his boss and passed me the phone. The manager or whoever he was didn't even have the decency to apologise to me and he was really full of himself explaining to me not to be worried, I would get my money back because he didn't care about such small amount of money, he has a lot of money he manages more hotels even 4* Hotels. (If he manages all as bad ast this one...) I told him that if he doesn't care about such a small amount he should come and give me the money. Of course he didn't. In the end he said he would write to Booking.com to explain the situation and to cancel the reservation free of charge for me and that I would have the money back in 3 days, which I don't think he actually did because when I wrote complain to customer service on Booking.com they emailed me back that they didn't know anything. In more words: I'll start with the good: great location, 5 minutes walk from the beach and the promenade. It has free parking, and the apartment is spacious. The less good...: We arrived at 22:00, the office had no air-condition. We got the room and immediately after that there was no one to talk to. Apparently, we had no towels, no blankets and not even sheets to use for cover. Next morning, the receptionist arrived only at 9:30. They didn't answer their cell phone which is published at the reception. Overall, the apartment is not clean. Shower has poor water pressure and the shower head is hanging and not fixed. When I asked to fix it, they were surprised and said it is a new head... There is air-condition only in the bedroom, and it is ok when the bedroom door is closed, but it's not sufficient to the rest of the apartment. WiFi is poor (at 3rd floor, at least), especially in the bedroom. I must say I got the feeling they are not eager to host us (or anyone)... It was an unpleasant experience. At no point I felt comfortable at the apartment. I would never come back, and would never have booked it if I had known how it will be like. We didnt lack anything. Those famous bugs are also everywhere in Greece and 4 star hotels in Malta. People are making fuss about small things. Yes AC is old but the buildings are old. But AC is working. Someone should say that bed is comfortable for 2 and I never expected to be honestly. There are many positive things about this place and I would strongly reccomend it. We got early in the room than expected. We were always helped and provided. And they always reply or call when you text them. I have seen a staff guy waking up at 2 am and coming from bad to assist the arriving guests. And they would supposed to get in the room 10 hours after.
