Stayed for five nights. Room extremely small, wasn't even room for a chair but sufficed for my needs.
The hotel is situated above and beside a bar and a nightclub. On the Friday and Saturday nights the nightclub started playing music at 2300 hours and and finally stopped playing at 0530 hours, I kid you not! Even with ear plugs it proved very difficult to get any sleep.
On my final day I got a call from the hotel at 1039 hours to say that I had to pack up my stuff and check out. I mistakenly thought I had booked for that night. When I returned to collect my stuff I explained that when I left my room key at the reception there was no one there at around 0600 hours. There was someone present every other morning when I dropped my keys previously. The elderly man present stated that he had asked me if I was checking out and that I had said no. Again there was no one present when I dropped in the key and I told him this. He then said he told me at the time I had to check-out at 1100 hours?! Again there was no one present in the morning. He was incredibly rude and became increasingly aggressive to me when I stuck to my guns in saying he didn't say anything to me as he wasn't there! He really ruined my stay there which was unfortunate as every other member of was...
Read moreThis hotel is showing its age. It's adequate accomodation, and is comfortable, however everything feels like it's from the 70s. Everything works - just - but a lot of the fittings and fixtures are in need of a total overhaul.
There is parking but you need to book in first, and as there is no where to pull up, this is a tricky task.
Breakfast is actually served in a cafe next door to the hotel... Not so bad really but the choices are very very limited, and there is virtually no indoor seating so you'll eat outside on the pavement tables. You'd be better off skipping breakfast and walking to a better nearby eatery.
The manager was ace, a real gentleman who showed us to our room, and made sure we were happy with it. Thank you!
This is one of the few places to stay right in the heart of Lemosos, so what there is to see and do is right out of the door. That's why we liked our stay here. After a nice evening meal by the marina, we picked up a bottle of red, and chilled out on the balcony watching passers by.
I think we got our money's worth here, despite the antique feel to the hotel. After all, it's just a...
Read moreWe stayed at the Metropole for one night but would’ve happily stayed longer. Great location for bars and dozens of little shops and restaurants amongst beautiful little streets, the Metropole is a few minutes from the marina, castle and beach. We arrived without a booking, the manager Steve was so lovely and helpful. We got car parking and a room with 3 single beds at a good rate. The room and bathroom were spotless, the air conditioning was really good and kept the room cool really well. The building had a lovely nostalgic feel to it and it felt like a family-run little establishment. We got good recommendations from staff who were friendly, Steve was helpful at every opportunity. The bar next door was lots of fun too! We would definitely stay there next tine we go...
