Uluwatu Specialty Coffee — Restaurant in Limassol Municipality

Thick and cold strawberry vegan ice-cream on popstick, delicious full bodied espresso, 10" hifi soundsystem perfectly balanced playing breakbeat cruisey house music. A heavily stickered grinder noisily prepares the beans for an excessively large steel coffee machine pours the holy brew, and on the table in front of the brown leather couch, The World Atlas of Coffee battles with The Best of Jimseven 2004-2015 for the customer's attention (today, the World Atlas wins). White plaster walls reveal stone masonry underneath in corners and near the entrance. Lots of plants and wooden furniture, fans providing good airflow. Beautiful dark tattooed woman in black dress and with fluffy shoes came in and spoke in Greek to the barista, presumably about something artsy and interesting. Three motorbike/scooter helmets sit on the wooden shelves. Soft lighting illuminates a vase, presenting six shafts of golden wheat. On one wall, a collection of stickers with a mishmash of styles. A grow-light stands protectively above a stand of seven leafy potplants, they sip slowly on the UV rays. Another wall is a shrine to Elektra, patriotically pronouncing Italy as espresso Mecca, with four elaborate machines promising the customer an unending stream of aromatic bliss at their fingertips. Two stars just for the coffee because it was delicious BUT... the food is absolutely disgusting! It’s very very very bad, I don’t believe how it’s possible - fail to make a simple sandwich 🤦‍♂️ I have never seen anyone cook so badly in my life. Shame on whoever cooked it. This cook shouldn’t cook or even touch food at all, or should pay the person who will eat his dishes. It's absolute impudence and shame to sell this to people for money. No words, just compare the photo of the expectation (which they show in the menu) and reality:

There's a simple reason why this is the best coffee place in Limassol. For me, Uluwatu is honestly the best coffee I've ever had in my life. One day I spoke to the barista and owner about why this might be by asking him what makes a good cup of coffee?

He replied that it is in parts the beans, the apparatus used, and the one making the cup. Sometimes the climate can also affect the process and a cup's quality any given day depends on these aforementioned factors.

If you have someone this wise and with such an elevated philosphy and sense of the process of making great coffee - why would you want to go anywhere else?
