Petsas Apartments — Hotel in Peyia

We stayed for 1 week, when we originally booked all was ok but our tour operator advised the room was booked so they had changed our room. No issue there. We arrived and I was fully aware of where is was as been to Cyprus over 15 times and have family there. I externality and the restaurant all look very nice. We arrived at our room (number 5 which is lower ground next to pool) I believe this is actually either workers rooms or they rent them out to local people as when we left they had taken the large and small sofa out of room. Also rooms 1 - 4 have workers in. The room itself was fine just little bits would have made it better 3 bulbs were out and 2 areas needed painting, just small general maintenance jobs that could have made the room far better. Shower area needs a good scrub but was sufficient. Air con was fine. Being next to where the cleaners had breaks etc we could heat them talking and they parked cars which made a lot of noise first thing. Night was fine no issues with sleep just got woken every morning by noise.

Plus side. Maria how ran the bar was lovely and very helpful. First day in pool I notice the light was hanging out and told her. A guy came down and put it back in and the next day another guy came and replaced the unit. Also asked for additional pillows and was prompt, same with toilet paper.

The pool was actually very warm. We had one meal and that was good, it’s a shame as there was nothing in the room advising of the restraint or even a menu which is a shame as we probably would have eaten more there.

Last day there we were due to leave 7pm and had to leave our room at 12. They accommodated us with another translation room free which was nice.

For the money it was fine, just little bits that let it down, which is a shame as if the same standard was achieved in the rooms as the restaurant they would be onto a winner.

I can only base this on our room as did not see any of the others. Would I stay...

Overall the place is ok and I don’t disagree with some of the other reviews I have read, but that wasn’t our experience!|||When we arrived we struggled to unlocked the door to our room, we struggled for 5 mins but my husband seem to get the work it out.|The too handle was loose so you aren’t able to pull on it.||The room is dated and would benefit massively from some new bedding, the sheets are old and a yellow colour, and just didn’t look or feel clean. No Bedding was left for the sofa bed, we found a pillow in the wardrobe for it but it was dirty.||We went out that evening, but prior to that my teenage son went back up to put some water in the room. Again he couldn’t open the door and gave up, my husband had to go up and sort it out.|||I returned with my younger children late at night to go to bed. I spent an hour trying to unlock the room, ringing the number online and banging on the door down stairs for some help. But there was no way of getting hold of anyone from the hotel.|||In the end we sat outside at 1 am, I had to get my husband to come back and help us. |||The following morning i spoke to the reception about this! As he was able to open it in the end he didn’t care.||He wasn’t bothered I was stuck for an hour in the night with my children or that I couldn’t get...

Me and my partner stayed here again in July after only been here at the end of April. Fantastic place, good sized apartment with all facilities. On first visit we had a front facing room which was fine. On this visit we had a pool view and this was even better. The apartments also have a restaurant below which we used a few times on this visit. Food is fantastic and very good value for money. As we had opted for bed and breakfast we also had our breakfast at the restaurant. This was a proper cooked breakfast and again excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Coral bay itself is a lovely fairly quiet resort, ideal for the more mature couple . Beach is about a 20 minute walk and the restaurant/shop area about 10 minutes. There is a very large supermarket literally across the road from the Petsas, so very handy if you are self catering. I cannot recommend this place enough, it is a hidden gem.
