Phils Grill and Bar — Restaurant in Peyia

Best In The Region (By Far).

Once entering Phil's Grill and Bar, we were stunned by the sheer beauty and luxurious vibe(no corners cut). The interior look has an aura of a 1960s luxurious Las Vegas restaurant/lounge were the likes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin would wine and dine.

The menu has a wide variety of choices, ranging from a nice selection of starters,salads,sandwiches&Burgers,Sea food, meat, vegetarian/Vegan,Kids menu, and a wide selection of deserts(all reasonably priced)

We kicked off with our drinks. an AMAZING strawberry mastic cocktail for my better half,a fresh orange juice for the little one,and a local beer for me .

For starters we had a Philo wrapped sweet chilli halloumi and zesty fried calamari (both fantastic)

For mains my wife had the beautifully presented seabas, spaghetti Bolognese for Junior (fresh pasta) And I had a wonderfuly marinated grilled pork chop, that was the size of a tennis racket!!.

The service was great and matched the overall brilliance of this place.

Friendly and fast service. Lots of seatings and waiters. Local foodball match was shown on big screens Ordered an Italian Salad that half of it was ok and the other half terrible. The greens with the pine and pomegranate and figs did not go right with the grilled marinated vegetables that seemed like rotten. Had to ask the chef if they were surely fresh as smelled rotten. They answered that thats how it was supposed to taste like and that they were indeed fresh. (Due to this offered at the moment a free desert but never happened as when the bill came we did not ask for it as the waiter ofcourse was not aware of the offer.) The pork chop that was supposed to be marinated in a jack daniel sauce, it was just a plain blunt pork chop. Eatable nothing special. Overall average prices, average food, average rating.

Started off well. Attentive staff to take our drink and food order. Food was very tasty and good portion size. However, let themselves down by completely ignoring empty main meal plates for a substantial amount of time (whilst not very busy). Eventually cleared half of the empty plates, but never returned to finish the job. No offer of desserts/additional drinks. Had to go to the bar to ask for additional drinks and desserts. Waited an excessive amount of time for the desserts (20+ minutes). Even had to enquire of their whereabouts due to the length of time elapsed. When it came to the bill, we had to ask at the bar for that too. Again, no staff attending the table. Looked like we weren't the only table struggling to get good service as others had to constantly wave down staff. Shame really as it had...
