Pension LUNA — Hotel in okres Brno-město

This place is situated close to downtown Brno (on a busy street) and right across from tram tracks. It is not your typical B&B (pension), it is a part of OBGYN/Fertility clinic. It does not have a receptionist/concierge like hotels or some B&Bs do. You need to arrange time of your arrival with the staff to make sure somebody is there when you show up. If you get there and nobody is on site to check you in, ask the people working for the clinic to call them. After hours, you need to use a side entrance, because the clinic is closed. We were shown how to get in after the main entrance and the clinic closes. They serve a decent breakfast but you may be asked what time you will be coming down, as the kitchen is not staffed all morning. I speak Czech, so I don't know if the staff speaks English or other languages.||||The room we got was rather large, very quiet, with a view of courtyard. It had an entry hall with a very large wardrobe and a refrigerator. Everything was clean and obviously very new. The bathroom was enormous with a Jacuzzi tub. ||||If you need to stay in this location and just need some basics, don't expect "hotel-like" experience, and don't mind it is actually a facility that is associated and serves the fertility clinic in the same building, Penzion Luna may be a good option. We stayed there one night, because of the location (we were visiting my brother who lives about 400 yards away).||||Penzion je v blizkosti centra Brna, na rusne ulici na tramvajove lince do Kralova Pole a Reckovic. Neni to ovsem typicky penzion, ale ubytovaci zarizeni v podkrovi Sanatoria Helios (gynekologicka klinika, pravdepodobne zamerena na lecbu neplodnosti). Neni tam recepce otevrena cely den, musite se s nimi domluvit na tom, kdy chcete prijet. Pokud dorazite a nikdo z Penzionu Luna tam neni, tak pozadejte nekoho ze sanatoria, aby jim zavolal. Po zaviracich hodinach se do budovy da dostat jedine postrannim vchodem, ale majitelka (ci zamestnankyne) nam ukazala, jak se dovnitr dostaneme, takze to nebyl problem. Snidane se dala, ale museli jsme se dohodnout v kolik hodin na ni sejdeme dolu, protoze nemaji nikoho v kuchyni cele dopoledne.||||Nas pokoj byl velky a s vyhledem do dvora. Mel predsin s velkou skrini a lednickou. Vsechno se zdalo uplne nove. Koupelna byla obrovska a byla tam velka vana (tusim virivkova). ||||Pokud potrebujete ubytovani v teto casti Brna, neocekavate hotelove sluzby, nevadi vam, ze ubytovani je soucasti nebo vyuzivano predevsim Sanatoriem Helios, muze vam Penzion Luna vyhovovat. Stayed for 2 days in August. The room was modern and nicely appointed; amenities included a refrigerator and a/c unit. No microwave or hot water pot- the second one was especially disappointing, as I brought coffee and tea, but had no means to prepare it. On the plus side, the room rate was comparable to surrounding facilities and less expensive than some; about mid-range for the location, but good for the quality.
