Very poor organisation and communication from staff. The stay was a present for our mum and we arranged a restaurant voucher to be waiting for her upon her arrival. I had confirmed all of that with the hotel 2 days prior her arrival. When she was checking in, nobody knew how she was supposed to pay, talking about some discounts, but no signs of a food voucher. When the receptionists were questioned about the voucher later on the day, they came up with excuses, that it was forgotten at their home in Napajedla in a locked drawer!!!! and it would be presented the next day... (Really??) Mentioning mixed-up order of a dessert that evening seems quite irrelevant. The voucher was presented next day, my mum mentioned that they would most probably redeem it at dinnertime. When they came for dinner at about 19:10, they were told, that restaurant was closed (opening hours till 22:00). Eventually they were provided with food though. Breakfast hours on Monday were different, however they had not been communicated and my mum arrived about 15 mins after hours. Again, they were eventually provided with the food. Breakfast is plated and no menus available. One receprionist (whi seemed to be doing everything there) listed items she just could remember at that time. Avoid room 10, horrible view. It looked like there were no other guest at the hotel but still, the room with the worst view was provided. We would not consider staying again, and we do not...
Read moreThis hotel is located right in the heart of Kromeriz, on "The Large Square", which means short distance walk to all the main attractions of the city. Castle is right across the square and is AMAZING! Anyway, the hotel has two floors of rooms, but we are still speaking of about 20 rooms. I had a view to the back yard, which is not nice, but who has a view to the Square side, might be more satisfied. Rooms are renovated as the whole hotel, with decent "baroco style" wall papers and nice, but very small bathroom and lavatory in one place. Lcd TV with RC, small fridge and trezor included. All worked as it should. Restaurant is in the same style, i was told owner is fan of antiquities, so there are also some nice paintings and pieces of furniture there, which nicely combines with the same type of wall paper on rooms as on restaurant, which is placed opposite front desk (reception). Food was ok and bartender Tereza was very friendly, but professional too. Big screen in golden baroco frame makes it strangely connected with other antiquities also placed to the restaurant. Prices might be slightly higher for people Staff is definitely very friendly and helpful, which add even more value. All over, i liked the stay and once i am in Kromeriz, i would be definitely staying in...
Read moreThis hotel is somewhat strange for the 4 stars at the front. Next to the reception is an exchange desk which queue extends in the front of the stairs to the rooms.||The front rooms are nice and spacious but they seem not to understand to make good use of space. The wardrobe stood in the entrance aisle where light was controlled by motion sensor. So you stood in the dark again after a few seconds. Next to the aisle was another spacious room which would have solved the problem.||The bath was spacious but the used china was small so cumbersome to use. And no space to leave your things. There is no hairdryer which is a must for 4 stars.||The worst is the breakfast which is served in the so called restaurant which has an appearance of a socialist workers canteene. There is only a fiixed selection of menue items you can choose from and you can choose only one and there is only one cup of coffee included in the voucher you get at reception for your breakfast, which you have to ask each day again.||Best thing was the view from the room over the main square to the castle. But that your have also from the hotel next to this.||So if you accept a 3 star room with a 1-2 star service for a 4 star price this hotel may be...
