A famed Baroque garden
The gardens here are preserved as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They comprise elaborate geometrical and floral layouts of trees and topiary. Near the centre of one part of the garden lies a large rotunda, with a Foucault’s Pendulum suspended from the dome. Nearby is a colonnade with statues representing figures from classical antiquity and myth. If climbed, this gives a great view of the gardens, and the two sides of the portico are echo chambers, allowing people to speak and listen to each other across the distance of the colonnade. Read moreReally cool, beautiful and relaxing place, that I've enjoyed much. The gardens are nicely taken care of,though, as I was there, it seemed that parts of the garden is not finished yet. I would expect more places hidden in shadow - basically nowhere to hide in hot, sunny day. Also, fountains are not very impressive for their size - nice sprayers would definitely be refreshing both for garden and visitors - BUT THOSE ARE JUST DETAILS. Garden is nice and well kept and I could see a lot of Czech love put in it - I've enjoyed it much. Oh, and the classic tractor fits there...
