I was there in September 2023. We booked a "hotel" room (for 2 ppl including breakfast) for 110 EUR per night.
On arrival, the room was incredibly dirty. The carpeted floor was not vacuumed (there were food leftovers and hair on the floor), the bathroom floor was dirty and sticky, glasses were dirty, food leftovers in the fridge. They probably "forgot" to clean it, but it was not an one-off problem, because another room hadn't been vacuumed either.
The room was dated and it looked like a long-term maintenance and cleaning was neglected - the shower was moldy, light switches were sticky, air-conditioning remote control was sticky.
Someone could say "cleanliness could be improved", but that is an understatement. It was a complete disaster. I have never been in an accommodation in such an awful condition.
The room service was non-existent - during our stay, no one came to clean our room, take out trash or change towels.
The bed was too short and the sheets had holes in them.
Our window was directly above some exhaust pipes from a nearby restaurants, so every time we opened the window, the smell from the cooking came inside - for the whole day (since morning to late night). There was some exhaust mechanism in a pipe which was running during the whole day and night and making periodic noises as it was switching on and off. Someone might say "just use the air-conditioning instead of opening the windows", but in this case, the air-conditioning did not exchange the air (only made it cool).
Breakfast: I took a sausage - it was cold. Scrambled eggs? Cold. We made some teas - and then discovered the hot water was actually cold. Grapes? Moldy. Pastry? Partially wet. Really. On the other day we tried the tea again - this time, the water was warm, but unfortunately, it was dirty. The cutlery for taking of the hot food (sausages, beans etc.) was always dirty from all the possible food. You wanted a sausage? Here, use a spoon which has beans leftovers on it. There was barely anything usable - everything felt dirty, re-used, spoiled.
The room entrance was directly from a stairway (no hallways for floors with separating doors), so you could hear people movements, elevator manipulation and a lot of talking from the whole stairway. For some additional noise they even put some kids' toys directly to these common spaces so that we can listen to children playing.
If you somehow got an information from somewhere that this is a 4-star hotel, that might be a misunderstanding or a mistake. If you rely on some specific common hotel services we know from real hotels, make sure before your booking that it exists there.
The location was good - directly on the...
Read moreFour stars? Two, maybe. Where do I start: the rooms are smaller than the photos suggest. A significant part of square meters of my room was a narrrow and dark corridor. furniture and equipment was old. Wallpaper was peeling, sheets had holes, the bathroom was renovated maybe 15 years ago (do not get me started on the shower handle and water pressure), and so on. they are not cleaned properly. I think the radiator in the bathroom has never been cleaned it had so much dust on it. the doors and rooms in general are very acoustic. You could hold a quiet converaation through the door without a problem. To make it worse, the hotel is joined with a hostel and we had a doubtful pleasure of staying there the same night as a children's excursion. What is more, some genius decided it was a good idea to put large plastic toys on the corridor of the hostel just above us, in, let me say that again, a very acoustic building. So if you like the sound of plastic toys on the floor, this is the hotel for you. the view of my room was on a wall. See photo. they don't trust their guests enough to let them set temperature in their own rooms. There was some kind of blockade on the radiator, and no remote control for AC, in case you wanted to save yourself from the cold by setting the AC (which I frankly planned to when I saw the radiator thing). the staff at the reception desk...
