Just returned from visiting a colleague at the Polacky University in Olomouc who arranged my stay at the Hotel (Pension) Na Hradě for 5 nights. The location couldn't be better, 5 minute walks to the main old-town squares, easy walking distance to the tram lines and botanical garden by the river (and only a 20 minute walk to the university through the park). My single room was very comfortable and super-quiet. Only had 2 coat hangars but probably could have asked for more. Internet was fine. Staff were very friendly. Still, these thing do in no way weigh up to the fact that this is by far one of the best hotels/pensions we have been to in the Czech Republic. One of the rare occasions that we would have given 6 stars of it...
