Penzion Sofi was a really amazing place to stay for the amazing price (55 pounds for 4 nights!!). We got room with double bed, chest of drawers and a table with two chairs. The room was lovely decorated, all furniture was white and looking really new. We also had a nice mirror and some flowers in the room. It was the attic room so we also had a nice view in the mornings. The heater was on and it was always nice and warm when we would be back from sightseeing. The lady at the reception was very nice, she did not speak English but since we were Polish we managed to understand everything. ||||They had pretty well working wi-fi there available all the time. There were two showers and a toilet downstairs and also a shower with a toilet and another toilet upstairs just opposite of our room. For me that is just perfect for such a short stay. Plus everything was really clean and nice, the staff there clearly takes care of the hostel at all times. There was also a kettle, microvawe and a small fridge provided in the corridor for general use, as well as some mugs and plates. ||||As to commuting to the city centre it was all ok for me, do not think it was far away. A walk to nearest metro station at Budejovicka was like 10-15 mins, but then you buy a 30 mins ticket and you will surely get everywhere you want. Prague metro is very easy to use so for us it was not a problem to travel at all.||||Also next to Budejovicka station there was sort of shopping centre where you had pharmacy, McDonalds, KFC, some superdrug stores and many more so everywhere was near. Opposite to the Penzion there was a grocery store Albert, open from 7 till 9 pm so we were going there for a quick to-go breakfast before metro.||||In general, absolutely reccomend stay there if you do not mind having just basic facilities and you want a nice cheap stay in quiet area. For us it was best since we were coming back to Penzion only to shower and sleep so we did not need kitchen or any such things to use. ||||Was a lovely stay and will definitely sleep there next time if I will be back...
Read moreThe pension was quite easy to find from the metro station and not too far to walk. By bus it is only a couple of stops. I got used to using the metro very quickly and it was easy to get to Budejovicka station from Nadrazi Veleslavin, the nearest station to the airport. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced. There were two rooms with toilets and washing facilities on my floor. The shared fridge and microwave in the corridor was very useful. The owner was very kind and offered to help print out some documents for me that I needed urgently. The area around the pension is safe and very quiet. I don't think there would be any problems...
Read moreMy stay was incredible. It is generally a bit of a spleen of mine to check out booking.com places bordering on a 9-ish rating, to see what the fuss is about. Places like that usually do not disappoint, not did Penzion Sofi.
it offers four star comfort, and helpful, welcoming staff. You will be equally accommodated if you are the chatty type as you will be if you simply cherish your quiet. Highly recommended also for larger groups. There is lots of parking space, modern, very comfortable interiors among the perks.
Nothing negative when traveling by car, otherwise the city center is 15 minutes away by...
