Attracted by the sign on the sidewalk that says “The best pastrami in Prague 4!”…. I saw this place had a face lift recently and decided to have a look inside. Very glad I did! I think it’s probably the best deli in prague 4. (And probably the only deli in prague 4 with real pastrami…😂) I like that it hits that sweet spot of a high quality Czech market aiming a providing a better than average product than what is sold in the standard grocery stores, while still not charging the extremely high prices of the expat shops. They source their meat from private farms and carefully choose high quality products without pricing themselves out of the local market. Besides very nice, local, fresh meat, they also have a great collection of cheeses, cold cuts, sausages and smoked meats. The butcher Richard spoke excellent English, so it’s very expat friendly as well. I had been a loyal customer since August of 2017 because of their high quality meat and cheese selection, but recently I bought 500grams of what seem to be delicious lamb meat on 23/11/2017 and the employee guaranteed the meat to be good until 29/11/2017. On Nov 25th I opened the vacuum sealed package only to discover a foul smell, the meat was already turning green(disgusting).

My wife whom speaks czech contacted the store on 27/11/17 and employee told us he’d talk to the owners, we went later the same day and owners DENIED to refund/ exchange the bad meat. Shame on the owners who decided to lose a good customer for the price of their...
