Location: Very central, close to many attractions and railway/bus station, very ideal for tourists.
Parking: The hotel has few spots for the guests at 120kr/day but you have to reserve before your arrival. alternatively you can park at Gåsepigen Parkering just opposite to the hotel around 100meters, regular rules apply, free after 4pm Saturday and all day on sunday, I used the app easy park and it worked well.
Hotel staff: Very friendly and helpful, they help you with the information you need and are very kind to the customers .
Lounge and common facilities: The have super nice sofas with large TV to relax and spend some time at the lounge, free good hot drinks for the guests 24hrs, i liked the vending machine and the coffee/hot chocolate options, you can also get help to heat your food from the reception staff.
Rooms: Very good for the price we payed, well maintened, nice and neat bath robes, beds and pillows, it is a very old building and they have done a pretty good job maintaining it. we had booked 2 triple rooms, despite some initial confusions the staff quickly solved the issue and offered a larger room.
Breakfast: Good, classic western breakfast options, but I didn't like their scrambled eggs, bacon nd sausage. they should definitely improve on this. otherwise a pretty decent breakfast being part of the daily package.
overall: I would definitely stay with them again and also highly recommend choosing this hotel especially for the strategic location, friendly staff and affordable cost at the...
Read moreThis hotel has been a special type of experience. While the rooms and location are amazing, this hotel stands out in their own special way.
The service and friendliness of the staff is so exceptional, I’ve never experienced it before. They always were helping to navigate through the city, to verify how transportation works etc.
Breakfast already comes included into any type of price and you won’t need to pay for it separately. They also prep a meal for you to depart with if you let them know in advance. Lots of snacks, cakes and so on throughout the day.
And most wicked thing? They brought us wine on the house for our wedding. Was not expected at all, and it was a very heart warming gesture.
When it comes to cons, most likely mentioning internet works fine the closer to the lobby you are. It wasn’t too good on the 4th floor, but in our case this doesn’t critically affect our experience.
Location-wise it seems to be at a great location near absolutely everything you need to see or go to. If we ever go back to Aalborg, this’ll be a commodity worth...
Read moreWe stayed as a group at this hotel and found it to be a great stay. It has a real homely feel. The staff were incredibly helpful and made us all feel very welcome. Special thanks must go to Mariann for all her help before and during our stay and always having a smile no matter how busy it got. Nothing was too much trouble. Also a shout out to Thomas who is also a credit to the hotel chain and was super helpful. The rooms are varied in layout and have an older style feel to them but are clean and comfortable . We found the breakfast to be very good. Hot and cold options including cereals, fruits, eggs, sausages and a few cheese choices and of course pastries. Cant fault the location either right near the main pedestrian areas and near to the station. There is a church five to ten minutes away that chimes after 8am but its not hugely loud and if you are light sleeper worth taking some ear plugs in case. I think for the value and the warmth of the staff you would be hard pushed to find a...
