On the last night of the stay, at approximately 5AM an unknown person entered the hotel ROOM. We were asleep and was very shocked hearing the door opening, luckily I was fast up to rush the unknown person out. The hotel receptionist had opened the door to our room, to this unknown person, for unknown reasons. This is completely unacceptable, and should NEVER be allowed to happen.
Not only is this a massive breach of privacy, it makes us so uncomfortable knowing it's easy for people to enter your room. Multiple thoughts occur, what if we were not home? What if my significant other was alone, and a man entered the room? This has led to a formal complaint to both the hotel and hotels.com
Never, ever will I ever spend time in this hotel again. And I advise everyone to choose another hotel, far away from this.
Other than that, there is really not anything I would recommend. The hotel breakfast runs until 10:30 on weekends, but that doesn't matter because they don't make any more, so if you arrive late you'll only get 1/3 of the offerings.
When booking on hotels.com it clearly states, that the rooms are soundproofed. This is simply untrue, having both Jomfru Ane Gade and a nightclub directly under the room, it is expected to have some noise. However, you could literally listen in on peoples conversation down on the street at 11AM in the morning. No Danish...

There is no electric kettle in the room. There is no mini fridge. There is no hairdryer in the bathroom. There is no electrical socket in the bathroom. There is no one at the reception desk in the evening. When there is personnel in the reception, they don't see you and greet you. Just so you know, you don't get a room key, you get a password.
The duvet/bedsheets were dirty.
This hotel could use vending machines with food, coffee, and hot water.
There are inappropriate, sexually explicit posters hanging in the breakfast area. It's not kid-friendly.
Their website says:
"You can either choose a room with view on the famous Jomfru Ane Gade or a room in the center of the hotel for some peace and quiet."
"Peace and quiet"? That's the last thing you'll get. False advertising! I stayed in room 211, which was away from the street. I cannot imagine how loud it must be for guests facing Jomfru Ane Gade.
Imagine a screaming competition between drunk people and seagulls.
Prepare to be woken up at 4:00 a.m. by drunk people smashing things, even on a Wednesday.
Don't stay here if you need a place to sleep. They provide earplugs, but this seems like a poor location for a hotel.
This review may seem harsh, but if I can't use a hotel for its intended purpose,...
Read moreWe stayed here from sunday - tuesday in August 2022. We checked in late, but they automatically arranged for our key to be picked up at the 7-11 right across the street since we had a late check-in (after 22:00). The staff were very friendly and welcoming. ||The rooms are alright. Not to small and the bathroom was spacious enough, but it was a bit old-looking. ||I think we were a bit unlucky with our room placement; we had a room straight outside the reception were the kitchen apparently also was placed. This resulted in us waking up at 6am the first night from the staff talking and plates hammering against each other. This lasted for about 3 hours…||The second night was better after the staff closed a door Between our room and the reception (Did not know there was a second door there). ||||The Windows are facing straight out to the famous party street in Jomfru Ane gade, so If you want to sleep with the Windows open you must expect some noise. The hotel have placed ear buds in the room upon arrival. ||||All in all we are happy with our stay except from the brutal awakening the first day. Not too pricy, with a good location in the...
