Good place where to stay between 2 destinations or just to relax! It might be hard to find, just a small yellow facade between houses. Here this is what you will appreciate: -Good location, in the historical center and near the bus stop "Almenda". -The effort put into the nice decoration! Lots of pieces of art, fun maps, fun facts abbout Quito, vegetations which make the place so much lively! -Cool place where to chill such as the hamocks or sofa at every floors or the small but nice rooft top terrasse. -Last but not least! A really helpfull, attentif, kind staff! The lady who works generally in the morning, try hard to help you in the best way she can! And it's such encouraging when you're getting lost in this such big city! Volunteers who work here are mostly really open mind and you probably end up going out party wth them. Good shower place, confortable bed in most of the dorms. Just avoid "Place grande" it's cold, dark and you hear the noises of the street... :/ I loved the kitchen, really nice when you...
Read moreThis place is awesome! First, the owners are super kind and helpful they make you feel like you’re home. Anytime we had questions they were always there to help us and guide us. They helped us book a taxi from the airport and gave us information and a map of the city to help us get navigated. We booked one of the private rooms and it was great! The room was really spacious with a big bed. The bathroom was also big with warm water which was a plus. We loved how quiet the hostel was at night because sleep is important for us when traveling.
They also provided breakfast with coffee, juice, eggs and toast with ham and cheese. They provide tours if you want to go places and will give you information on where to go. The location is also SUPER SAFE. There’s a great market like a minute away with lots of fruits and medicinal things. Lots of restaurants in the area and Ubers are all super cheap. If you’re loving for a safe, welcoming place I would definitely...
Read moreDefinitely the best hostel I've ever been to! Cheap, hot showers, and great location (only 3 minute walk away from Basílica del Voto Nacional). The owners were staying in the hostel the day I stayed due to a COVID-related financial troubles and they let me eat lunch with them and their kid for free. They were uniquely attentive and focused on service, and explained how to get to various places on a map he marked up for me before we ate. Their website, like the hostel itself, has a very aesthetic design which is surprising to see in a family-run hostel. It also has directions to and details about popular nearby tourist hot-spots, including safety recommendations. The owner also let me use his computer to access LATAM's relatively mobile-unfriendly website and drove me to the airport himself for my flight. Highly recommended, and I wish I was able to visit when the pandemic wasn't active so that I could experience their apparently lively social...
