If I were 50 years younger this place would have been ok
The hotel is on the light rail line we had to dash into the hotel as the road and light rail line are very busy. The check in was ok except for. We asked for dinner and were told that the restaurant was closed, we asked why because on the web page it stated that we can get dinner, no answer was forth coming. Next question was what does the emergency alarm sound make, i did not get an answer. A young man carried our luggage to the room. The room was not as nice as it looks in the photo, only 1 bottle of water for 2 people, only 1 hand towel for 2 people. The bottles of shampoo had been opened, the waste bin was very small and there was no waste bin for the room. O light over the mirror in the bathroom, the extractor in the bathroom did not work. The room was fairly clean but was overcrowded. There was no hairdryer, no safe, these are the things that are just basic to a comfortable stay. We were so tired we ordered in from a Mexican restaurant. The next morning came the trial of using such small bathroom, if you have a fear of confined spaces then this bathroom is not for you. With that out of the way we went up to the restaurant for breakfast, the drabness of this area was consuming, no music a family huddled around a table speaking in hushed tones, a long table with a few bottles of pickles on it where you would expect the grazing area to be. We sat at a bare table and a young man came over, he asked if we want coffee and how do you want your eggs. He came back with a plate each of 2 small sweet buns with 1 small triangle of meat and cheese, next came a plate of fruit and then a plate of scrambled eggs, not to forget the small glass of juice and cup of coffee. We had people to meet so we left the hotel, on our return the room was so depressing that we packed up leaving for another hotel our stay was for 7 nights. We told the girl on the desk that we are checking out , so we pay for 2 nights and refund the rest, she said no we can only refund 50% , ok refund it to the card we paid with, the girl said i can not do that i need your bank account number. This went on and on for 45 minutes until we left without a refund to stay in another hotel. Not the...
Read moreDespite the name, El Presidente- it is only the President of Two Stars out of Five. In front of the hotel, there are two big holes that look like a missile landed- unfinished streetcar construction. However the hotel has not properly secured the area (pylons or yellow tape), making it unsafe for children to walk around.||||Lobby is decent. When it came to our room, we had to move after the first room they gave us had a window that would not lock- bad for small children who like to open windows far above the pavement. The room we got needed a light changed in the bathroom and had non-existent wi-fi. The hotel sent some poor sod to our room about 6 times to tweak this or that- he installed a new router outside our room and plugged something in our room- but the Wi-Fi was as bad as can be. I had to sit outside my room to get a signal! They said they were going to make another attempt to fix it- but realized we were checking out the next day and we didn't hear a peep from them. We also found a pill of some kind under our bed- again, not good thing if you have toddlers or small children. The walls were scuffed. We did have a good view. Breakfast was okay, scrambled eggs and toast and juice. Wifi is better in dining room than in our room. The hotel manager didn't offer us any discount on our room for the trouble of our wi-fi and other issues- and seemed to avoid us at our check out (nowhere to be seen). Cold water only in the shower on the last morning we checked out. One more thing- the doors to rooms don't have a chain to secure the door closed- if you have children they can open the door and scramble out. Also the doors begin to open inwards once they are unlocked. Really bad design. There is no fridge in the room- but worse, no glass for drinking water. Another oversight. The people running the hotel all looked to be 28 and under. Book weeks early and get a good deal on another hotel is...

It was agreed that I will send a bank account details so they can make the transfer immediately. Again after several exchange of mail and asking for a date of the transfer, on 28/03 Mr Hidalgo wrote to said that he had the authorization but the cheque was not signed yet.||Two days later on 30/03 he told me that he had spoken to the bank and they will make the refund into the credit card. So, I have now waited for several weeks for this to happened and contacted him again on 13/05 to ask why it has not been done, he of course blame the bank, he told me that he will make the transfer next week to which I asked why not today... and I am still waiting.||||||08/02 Reservé tres habitaciones dobles para mi familia a través de booking.com para el Hotel Presidente en Cuenca, aunque me dijeron que solo tendría que pagar al llegar, el hotel me contactó para hacer un depósito del 50%.
