One star only for good breakfast and spa treatments. We choose this place for celebration. On booking was very nice photos and pointed '' sea view'' In our picture you can compare their photo with reality. We aksed to change and ask for a manager, but there was no manager during 2 days. They gave another room, but the view was almost the same... We asked about the difference between standart and superior ( we had superior room) and young lady said - standard has a garden view and superior - '' wonderful view", why you don't point it on booking com!? When I came to take the keys for another room I was waiting 15 minutes in line..really?? Just to take the cards, very unprofessional staff. Two ladies agreed that there is no sea view at all, but they did nothing, even didn't sorry. In advance I ordered fruit plate for 12 EUR, the problem even was not about the size (picture /= reality).. In the room were 2 flies and there was no glass cover!!! Next day I saw the same fruit plates broughted in the room with glass cap- what is normal.. On Booking was said - in superior room you have bathrobes, shampoo, shower gel etc.. We went to the bathroom and on the table was only 2 little bottles '' body lotion''. OK, no problem, maybe they forgot. We went to reception and I ask to bring the shampoo, because we are goint to the Spa now, young man gave small 2 bottles of shampoo and 2 bottles shower gel. Nice 😂😂 when we checked out we paid 10 Eur for them 😁 No excuses, no information about that...they said that we had on the shower '' soap for body and hair''..no comment :)) First day was really hot ( 26.4°C inside the room) 4-5 times we tried to do something with air conditioning, but after 40 minutes the temperature was the same. I asked for help in reception, but got an answer that if its hit, then air condition doesn't work properly.. Lamp on the bathroom was so unclean 😒 We really tried to think positive all these days, because came to spend special days for us. This place a great location, but real seaview have only fiew rooms. We had spa days and it was with a quite good message and...
Read moreThere for a wedding. Highlights: breakfast (opens at 8am) was impressive, varied, covered all the protein/carb/caffeine/pastry bases. 10 out of 10 would hit that breakfast again. Sauna facilities (included in hotel price) has steam room, Finnish sauna (water over the hot rocks), various pools, showers, locker facility--loved it. Bar cocktails were unique, restaurant dining available inside and out. It's summer so the bar, beach and boardwalk rock til the wee hours so request rooms NOT facing the beach if you are a light sleeper. Gym was sufficient with bike, treadmill, some free weights and a couple machines that weren't up to your gym standards. Loved the historical architecture of the old sauna building and the juxtaposition with the newer-yet-funky 60's vibe of the hotel itself. Things I wish I could change: Hotel room AC is.....insufficient, especially considering guests returning from the spa need to cool down in their rooms. Get out of a hot shower in your room? Steam doesn't accumulate but you're gonna sweat through that new shirt. I'm a dude----maybe women don't get so hot but I couldn't cool down in my room, had to hang out in the common areas shirtless and in my shorts like some hokey russian tourist, waiting to cool off. Lastly, Estonia, can we do something about the friggin' mosquitos? At the wedding (off-site), at the beach, in the hotel lobby at 3am, at dinner, our party was mercilessly dive-bombed all day and night. Turns out the Baltic Sea is primarily fresh water, it rains every week during summer---prime mozzy breeding environment. Yet, no electronic bug killers, no propane mozzy traps, not a single duck when ducks are natural mosquito larva munchers. Our photos are of happy guests all itching welts while randomly waving our arms around like we're having seizures. Good...
Read moreWe were on a honeymoon trip, and we took a superior room with sea view just so we could have a nice holiday. We even wrote to the hotel a few days before about our special occasion. Upon arrival we were unpleasantly surprised that instead of sea view we got "tree view" (see pictures attached) – just bushes and trees, and maybe a bit of sea between the branches. When addressing this issue to the hotel staff their response was that the hotel is overbooked and they can't help us. Nevertheless, you could see that the parking lot was half empty, we saw the same faces in both breakfast and SPA area, which also was half empty. So, it was obvious that the hotel is not overbooked but the staff just didn't want to put any extra effort into it...
Also, when you take the Superior room with sea view and balcony, take into account that there is a pavement passing by and people can literally look inside your room from the street.
The hotel room didn't have any shampoo, hand soap or other small amenities that 4-star hotels typically have. You could see that the hotel is in desperate need for renovation on freshening up and it's not properly being looked after.
The SPA area is nothing but average. I do not recommend buying the 16 eur "Silent SPA" because it's totally not worth it. The Bathing area has a lot more to offer and you'll spend most of your time there anyways. We also took a 65 EUR massage which was supposed to have all kind of body oils but instead they used only the typical massage oil and released some weird perfume once during the process. Good description of the massage but very poor performance.
Overall don't expect anything special from this place. For such a high price you can find many better options in Parnu. You will pay above-average price for...
