Hello, I wrote this review and only valid for GROUP TRAVEL, I own a travel agency since 1993 and we are based in Los Angeles. I need to let future groups to be very very careful with this hotel. Our group (booked through G2 - our very reliable travel partners for Europe market) was supposed to stay in this hotel from May 1 - 3, 2025 and our group were kicked off from this hotel and they put us in the 3 star hotel next to this hotel (Hotel Arcades). We booked rooms for this group (total 16 rooms) through G2 since September 2024 and Paradis Hotel confirmed it. 2 days before arrival date, G2 informed us that our group has been kicked off from Paradis Hotel. I talked to the Manager on site and the only thing she told me was sorry, thats all. I do believe they kicked us off from the property because they were overflown by Marian group and they said that Marian Group is their loyal customer for years. I still think that this is not fair to us, I brought a pilgrimage group visiting Holy Door in Rome, Fatima and Lourdes and this was a very bad experience for us. Very very bad, some of our tour participants got very angry with the Manager. The next day our priest was able to calmed us down and advised us not to let this bad experience ruined our intention to be on a pilgrimage group. But I do believe that I still need to share this experience for future groups, BE VERY CAREFUL with this...
Read moreWe just stayed a couple of days ago and the room and service we received were not up to par. The room we've got doesn't even look like the ones in the pictures. In all honesty I couldn't wait for checkout time to leave the hotel Location: Within walking distance to the sanctuary so, that is the only plus. Rooms: musty smell, rundown, in dire need of renewal. Dirty, Got to the hotel at checking time and room wasn't ready. We had to wait for room to be "cleaned up" which it never was as there was hair all over the bed, night stand and bathtub. If you want the A/C on, you have to call reception to have them activate it. The bathroom has pipes exposed, dirty filter. It is a very small room for a queen size bed suite, bed took almost all the space. Food: Frech cuisine at its worst! Dining room overcrowded. Crammed beyond capacity. You couldn't seat comfotably to eat and had to squeeze between two tables to seat. It was so crowded that servers had to overreach across the table to serve food. Servers heavily smell of sweat, almost as if they bathe once or twice a week and use no deodorant. So you see the problem with over reaching! Lights on stairs switch off automatically and never turn back on unless you turn them on manually so, br careful if you take the stairs as I almost fell down. All in all, not worth it. There ate...
Read moreNo fridge, kettle or any form of drink making facilities in the room. Very slippery bathroom floor. No anti slip matt or cleaning stuff to wash the bath with. Rails were not placed properly. Toilet very low down grab rail could not be reached. Same with bidet ( my son loved the bidet)Could do much better The lighting was substandard. Our first room was on the 8th floor. No safety rails at the windows. We moved to the first floor because of my fear of lifts, ( Very accommodating in this area) New towels every day. No complimentary soaps or creams. Food wise menu was not always put up and not the kind of food you would expect in a four star hotel. Our waiter was fantastic funny helpful brilliant we missed him on his days off. The other lady was not as good Drinks were very expensive and you had to find hotel staff to get to the bar. If you fancied a chocolate bar. It cost 2euro. Samee as a ton of fizzy pop.
Key point was worrying anyone could take your key to you room
I would not...
