At King Albert — Restaurant in Argelès-Gazost

Situated between a number of other restaurants and close to the river. There is a bit of fight for survival attitude going on amongst the owners. One trying to coax in customers as much as the next. Can be fun to watch untill you start eating and then it can be a bit pitiful really. The service from a lovley you women was exceptional and although food was advertised for 12 I was able to order at 11.40. That's when the heckling from rival owners started. The signs were pushed further out onto the walkway untill it caused enough of an obstruction to involve the Police. Not just for this restaurant but also for others. I'd say its come accustomed to this type of behaviour really. There is a bridge close by and apart from the couple of people begging it was nice to watch the locals fish as the sun shone upon the fast flowing water. A couple of nice fish caught and that was it for me. Like most of lourdes it's a buisness at the end of the day. You will be greeted as well as the last person was. And parting with your holiday cash is what it all boils down to. So enjoy the entertainment . It's all very similar and so...

Pro: nothing. Cons: Place was very packed and the worst for me was that they did not ask us for pass sanitaire, waiters did not wear face masks, not trustable at all. Another thing I disliked was the fact that they were shouting at each other and smoking instead of cleaning the dirty tables. Serving our drinks took them 20 min to do, or removing our empty appetizer plates, which tooke them 45 min, we then left, paying more than expected for the trash we got, they were soooo unprofessional, creating a very stressful/weird atmosphere. Place was dirty, full of flies and bread was old. One of the worst restaurants we have been in France. It ruined our amazing day :/. Is like we are not in France with their standards. Don't get how this place can have a score of 4.2. If I could, I would give negative stars and call Gordom Ramsey for a perfect kitchen...

Good prices and the service is nice , they try to talk in all the possible languages Heartbroken I write this review cause we all got sick from eating there, why are we sure? Cause my group friends that ate somewhere else where not sick at all and the ones we ate here got really sick The food tastes like frozen food, also the waitress serves you food with the same hands with which she collects and grabs money, the water vase was really dirty. If you want to go here go under your own risk, maybe it was just bad luck for us, but I wanted to share my experience cause we saw the bad reviews about the hygiene of this place but we took it for granted, now we regret not taking those reviews into account...
