Villa Mariale Lourdes (by Popinns) — Local services in Argelès-Gazost

Don’t be fooled. This place is nothing like the photos you first see. If you check the date, you’ll find that they were from ten years ago and even then some people were complaining. During my stay here, (august 10-12) I found that this place was nothing like my expectations, though I didn’t find any bed bugs, like other reviews said (Thank goodness!) i did, however find that the wifi connection was poor, and the beds were attached to the ground, i stayed in room 501, for approx 6 people, My overall stay was alright, i got a decent amount of sleep but the ac wasn’t working (though this problem was swiftly resolved by the woman i believe called Florence with curly hair and glasses!) The hospitality is nice, though Florence may come off as a bit mean she is pretty nice, and managed to resolve our ac problem. On a separate note, If you have sensitive skin be careful as my skin broke out 🥲 Most likely from the water, if it’s not then I apologise. This place was absolutely appalling, so so soooo disgusting and they do not provide photos what the place actually looks like it was so filthy and worse yet they had bed bugs on all the beds , the curtains were mouldy , the carpets were stained and the rooms were extremely small for the amount of people we booked for, which was 8 adults and 1 child. I don’t believe this place even deserved one star. We had originally booked to stay there for 3 nights but because it was so disgusting and appalling we left the next day and none of us slept for the only night that we were there. When we got to the receptionist downstairs and addressed this situation it’s the receptionist they then ended up telling us that they had a bed bug infestation last year too , even writing this message is making my skin crawl! A ver... nose ni por donde empezar. Nos alojamos una noche, de paso, en la Villa, porque estábamos de ruta prepirinaica. Cuando llegamos la mujer mayor nos trató fatal, íbamos en moto y nos dijo de aparcar al lado de las basuras, al lado de donde limpian los camiones de las basuras (estaba lleno de residuos y colillas de los vecinos del hotel, o al lado de las mesas del bar del hotel (donde una propietaria de un establecimiento nos amenazó de que si aparcabamos iba a tirar la moto al suelo), la señora de la villa nos vio nerviosos delante de la incertidumbre del parquing de la moto, y mientras discutia ella con otros huespedes de la villa, nos miro y nos respondio poniendo pegas. La moto es la vida de un motero. Una vez aparcamos (al lado de otros motoristas que aparcaros más tarde, vimos que el lugar era igual de pésimo, pero con seguridad de hacer piña si pasaba algún problema…) subimos a la habitación (si así se puede llamar) para nada igual a las fotos, una cama empotrada al suelo con almohadas que no se podían ni usar, baño roto, pelos de partes intimas por todo el inodoro y ducha. La habitación tenía cocina, la nuestra intención era hacer la cena, estábamos tant incómodos que, aún estar el centro cerca, cogimos la moto y nos fuimos a comer fuera. Por la noche ruidos extraños de pasos por la habitación (resulta que el suelo crujía por los vecinos de al lado), encima nos tocó al lado del ascensor más ruido todavía. La nevera por la noche empezó a hacer ruido sin sentido el cual no se podía tratar, sin sentido. Nos teníamos que levantar temprano para seguir la ruta, no dormimos nada y el nerviosismo por lo que podía pasar con la moto nos hizo estar incomodísimos y alerta toda la noche. Intentamos cambiar de estancia, no nos devolvían los dineros (al final nos importaba lo más mínimo) pero todo estaba lleno. A parte, se tenia que pqgar 10€ por usar el secador, 20€ los assesorios de cocin, etc. Sin duda... el peor sitio donde he estado en la vida. Si sois motoristas os recomiendo evitar sin ninguna duda este "hotel", y para el resto de personas igual, hay muchísimos otros sitios. A veces vale más pagar un poco más, pero que el respeto, el trato y el descanso sea mucho mejor. Escribo esto con las mismas ganas de llorar que tuvimos, con impotencia y mal estar.
