The hotel was small but VERY welcoming. We arrived slightly early and Sébastien let us check into our room at 3pm instead of the usual 4pm. We left our bags when we arrived early at the hotel and had a little walk round the town, by the time we got back Sébastien had already took our bags up to our room for us which was a very thoughtful and kind gesture. ||We stayed in the deluxe room and it was a gorgeous room with an up to date bathroom with a shower. We had a lovely balcony which has gorgeous views of the mountains and the town. ||During our stay we did not opt for breakfast but the offer was there if we did want it. ||The only slight downfall would be that there is a rule that you cannot eat in the rooms due to hygiene reasons and if you do then there will be a €150 fine. This was a bit of a awkward issue for me and my partner as at the end of the day in a hotel we would normally sit in bed with a tea / coffee and biscuits and wind down for the evening but unfortunately we wasn’t able to do this. This however was not a major issue and did not impact our stay in any way at all. ||Our stay at the hotel was 10/10 and would recommend it to anyone! It was local to the town with everything in a 10 minute walk reach. We did rent a car as on the hotel website it stated there was 300 parking spaces in Escape Mont Blanc but please be wary that we did struggle to find a parking space every night when we was here. We only got parked in the multi story car park once and had to drive around 10-15 minutes to find an...
Read moreAbsolutely recommended. A family owned and managed establishment, proudly run by Sébastien with passion and attention to detail.
I picked this place over the large hotels in Chamonix to offer a glimpse of my childhood memories to my partner, and could not be happier.
On arrival, noticing our large luggage, the owner/operator Sébastien helped us taking everything upstairs, while offering a better room to suit our needs, with a view on the charming street. Later, he gave us great advice about the area and activities, with local insights about the weather and best way to enjoy this period of the year.
The room was spotless, with a kettle, complementary water and tea, two heaters, a reasonably spacious bathroom with a shower, and a very large and comfortable bed. Thanks to that cozy environment and total lack of disturbance, my partner and I slept like babies. On one side we could close the window with wooden shutters, whereas the other window had some curtains that still let 10% of light in.
Being in the lowest possible season, we expected the breakfast to be a bit empty. Instead, Sébastien made sure to give us a taste of all the local products, including fantastic jams, cheeses, and even made us some scrambled eggs.
Also, my partner decided to get some massage and treatments at the establishment, and was enthusiastic about them.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that for a 1901 building, this hotel really stands out in terms of functionality and general conditions, while offering modern comforts such...
Read moreHotel Coeur des Neiges was my "Base Camp" for several days while summitting Mont Blanc and other peaks in the area. This place has a genuine and true hospitality atmosphere. It's hard to leave particularly when you are used to chain hotels, this one is family owned with personalized high quality and warm service standards. The breakfast is also very good, quality choice, good coffee, cosy atmosphere and mountain views. I also tried their sports massages, it was great my legs and back revived after long walks with heavy backpacks the days before. Françoise will know exactly what to do to put you back in shape (it might hurt a bit on the spot if you have sore legs... but you will definitely thank her the next day!). I ended up booking 3 massages all different, Françoise suggested every time which one would be best for me according to my body status and energy levels at the moment. 100% recommendable, and easy to book. I would stay again without a doubt if I go back...
