The Tramway du Mont Blanc is an impressive adventure railway that runs from Saint-Gervais to Bellevue and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The ride is a highlight for both nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. The carriages are comfortable and offer large windows to enjoy the spectacular scenery.

The station in Saint-Gervais is well organized and offers all the necessary information for visitors. The driver was friendly and gave interesting insights into the region during the ride. The attractiveness of the route is further increased by the possibility of getting off at various stops to go on hikes.

Overall, the Tramway du Mont Blanc is an excellent day trip destination that is recommended for both families and solo travelers. An unforgettable experience in one of the most beautiful mountain regions...

Visited during the height of summer and train very busy. Advise you to book tickets and your preferred train departure time beforehand. On arrival at your stop you must book your return train. Staff from off your arrival train open the ticket office, so book the return train otherwise you need to wait for the next train to arrive. Only able to travel as far as Mont Lachat due to engineering works but still beautiful and impressive views. Short walk takes you to a good viewpoint of the Chamonix valley. Suggest it's best to take the first train and spend full day getting off and exploring the stops from Col de...

We took the tramway in the winter where part of the way is closed. It went from Le Fayet to Bellevue which took one hour and then back. You can either choose to go back directly or stay for 2 hours. The way goes mainly through the woods and there is a part where you have a nice view at the Mont Blanc. Considering the price though I would definitely prefer the aguille du midi to this one. We only did it since it was included in the Skipass. From chamonix it takes about 45 minutes by train so you need to...
