ibis Styles Bordeaux Centre Gare (Ouverture en avril 2024) — Hotel in Bordeaux

Stayed here on a 2 night break from London via the train - this is really handy for the station (although it is next door to the regular Ibis so don't confuse the 2!). Staff were great and the rooms basic but comfortable - good beds, good showers, good AC and opening windows. The decor around the hotel was fresh and modern, and the terrace pleasant. The highlight was breakfast - a simple buffet with cold options but the fresh juice was amazing and all the bread/cheese etc was so fresh and tasty.|The hotel isn't in the nicest area for wandering but it's a 20min walk to central areas and we used the tram a lot which was quick, easy, frequent and reasonably priced (use the app for navigating and buying tickets)....

This hotel is average at best, a bit disappointing.|The bathroom is very nice, but the reception staff doesn’t seem overly friendly.|My biggest complaint is the breakfast. For a low budget hotel, this place was the ticket! I was a little worried about the kitchy decor ( the theme is 3D artwork) but in actuality, it was better in person and felt comfortable. The staff were great! Very friendly and accommodating. The bed was super comfortable, but I agree with another review that the bathrooms need more lighting.
