Worst steak meal I've had in a long long time. I had very high expectations about this place when visiting Bordeaux, and started off by ordering jamon iberico + tomato on bread. Got 4 tiny bread pieces with some tomatoes on and the jamon iberico was poorly cut and of poor quality. An average restaurant along the road in Spain makes this better. Anyways, for the main course I ordered the 400g entrecote (ribeye) medium rare with potato gratain and pepper sauce. I get the main course and my first instinct is that the steak is poorly bbq'd with a grey colour and weight close to 200g vs 400g in the menu (which I tell the staff and he claims all pieces are measured by the gram when cut). I was worried that the steak would be cooked well done given the 1cm thickness and unfortunately I was right. I grab the same guy that served the steak and explained that I ordered it medium rare and bloddy. A few minutes layer I get a new steak and it's of similar small size (200g vs 400g claimed in menu) and with same uninviting grey colour. Cut it in half and this time it's cooked rare (which I don't mind) but I immediately notice it's not meat of any good quality as I have to struggle through tendons throughout the whole piece. No fat really as there should be, doubt it was an entrecote. Last thing to try was the gratain and the pepper sauce, nothing special at all. No cream or cheese in the gratain, was just simply thin slices of potatoes they've quickly put it the oven. The sauce I can see that some people like, but for me a peppar sauce should always have cream in it which was not the case here. After finishing the meal I tell the staff that I was very disappointed with the meal and asked for the bill. 35min passes by and no bill, I go into the bar in the restaurant and stand in front of the bbq where I clearly see 1) steaks are cut very thin and there is no fat marbelling 2) gentleman that cooks the steaks has no clue and does it way too far away from the heat (explaining the grey colour). Very disappointed, unfortunately as quite often when in France recently. Would not pay €15 for this meal and final bill landed at €56...

My grandmother and mother didn’t want to eat entrees, only desert and drinks. I ordered my entree. The waiter informed my family if they were not going to order, that they must leave. Was pressure by the server to order and they decided to leave. In the midst of dinner, they made me and my sister change to a different table. Read moreI got my reservation the night before for lunch next day. I came on a Sunday and it was pretty empty. I didn’t have to wait at all. I chose the entre cote with the frites that were cooked in duck fat and a glass of red wine. The steak was cooked perfectly & the fries were to die for. I ate the last morceau of steak & fries. I will probably come back before heading home!😋❤️. I did come back for the 2nd time. It took me awhile to savor my steak and the chef came to ask if I was done.
