In September, we booked a 2-night stay for August 2020. The website clearly states that one books now, and pays only when one arrives at the property. Cancellations are free until 3 days before arrival. Clicking on further T&Cs returns an error. A card is requested for security but there is no mention that a deposit will be debited. Indeed, the opposite is stated in several ways on the booking form and, again, on the confirmation||A few weeks later and still 11 months before our Corsican holiday, our itinerary changed and we cancelled the reservation. It was at that point that we learned that hotel had debited our card debit for €82. They then refused to refund it stating that it is common practice to take and keep a deposit||I have pointed out all the guarantees about 'free cancellation' 'pay only on arrival' ‘Amount due €0.00’ et al, but it is like talking to a brick wall||I work in tourism and do not understand this type of attitude. Not only do I find it unscrupulous but unnecessary. Corsica books out in the high season which is why we booked so early. None of the other 6 hotels we reserved charged a deposit, let alone refuse to return it. They all had similar pledges on their websites. Read moreWe enjoyed a 3 night stay in this small 12 room hotel. Fairly standard size modern room with mini fridge and kettle (although no tea and coffee supplies) Comfortable bed. Very nice, big bathroom with separate toilet and huge walk in shower. Sunny balcony with little table and chairs. Reasonable value for money. ||||Small pool. Only 6 loungers though and looses the sun by 3.30pm. Jacuzzi you can book to use but expensive. ||||In these Covid times breakfast available to order at specific time for 7 euro for express or 14 euro for full (but no hot options)||||We liked the location as quiet and on outskirts of town - 10 mins walk, heading to the Restonica Valley. Also means has own parking||||Staff are friendly and helpful.||||On the downside there is no bar or even a vending machine if you want a drink or snack. Our room only had a portable and very noisy air con unit with a hose. This meant you had to leave the balcony door open which was OK as we were upstairs. Wouldn't be happy though if it was the same arrangement in the ground...
