The residence is in an old house developed into apartments so you avoid the usual modern block. Also set in the most beautiful tranquil gardens carefully laid out on different levels including a pool area. Our party had a studio at the front. plus the one bedroom apartment at entrance level with sea view, obviously the sea view would have been bit better on a higher floor. || ||The location was very convenient to Cannes la Bocca train station 7 min walk or the bus to Cannes with a 2min walk so easy to manage without a car. There were a few shops and a pizzeria just across the road otherwise a quick bus trip to La Bocca to the supermarket.||There was a very relaxing atmosphere due to the small number of apartments with the owner ready to help on any occasion.||||A few items to note, we knew the area so were aware of the train track between the apartment and beach you would hardly hear them after a while. As a result the 50m from the beach is slightly wrong as you have to walk from the back gate along a path for 150m to a foot bridge or tunnel just beyond which brings you up at a pedestrian light to cross the road to the beach. The beach is sandy but water quite deep so perhaps not good for small children but great for swimming.||||The Wifi was a bit hit and miss and our apartment was not ready at 4pm when we arrived at the stated check in time. The kitchen was fairly basic but enough to create a few meals to enjoy on the balcony. Our rooms had no A/C only a fan. Like other French places do, it did seem quite expensive to pay €17 per person for a pair of sheets & towels and €35 to €40 for cleaning at the end, but we did know this before booking. ( we could have brought our own and did our own cleaning not so easy when not having arrived by car)||||All in all an ideal and great spot to enjoy the area with easy access by train and relax in the calm garden on return. If there are fire works in Cannes make sure...
Read moreReally great little hotel, I stayed for 2 nights on business in 2022 but would like to come back for a long weekend with my partner! ||I had room 32 which was a large studio with a double bed, single bed, dining table, kitchenette, small bathroom and a outside street view terrace. It had good air con. Very clean and everything you would need for self catering, including a nespresso machine/pods. The bed was really really comfortable, memory foam! And great pillows and lots of blankets for layering as it was quite cold at night in October. Note that not all the rooms have air conditioning. It’s a bit dated but as long as you know what to expect you’ll be fine!||Didn’t have time to enjoy the facilities but the pool looked lovely and there is also a rooftop terrace with egg chairs/sunloungers and views of the sea!||Beach just across the road. Walk to main centre of Cannes(harbour) took 35 min along the beach front and there are plenty of bars, beach clubs and restaurants along the way. Uber to the same area on average cost €12-15.||I would...
Read moreFamily of three (husband and wife with 6 year old), just back from a fab time in Cannes. This is a lovely place to stay - the couple who run it are so friendly and accommodating. It has a small but cosy vibe.||For the price, I don't think you could get better - a lot of research went into our pick and we weren't disappointed! The pool is great, there's rooms with a sea view, the beach is literally across the road, and you can walk easily into both the centre of Cannes and Cannes La Bocca.||Public transport is great - 50m from the bus stop that again runs incredibly frequently into Cannes and Cannes La Bocca, and La Bocca train station is a 5 minute walk. There's a petrol station just across the road that sells essentials (milk, butter, toilet roll etc).||Couple of things to note: there's no cleaning service, apart from at the end of the week for a 40 Euro supplement. And there's nowhere on-site for food. But given the amenities and the proximity to restaurants etc in walking distance, we didn't feel this...
