The owner charges the card beforehand without warning and over the amount regulated - which was supposed to be a guarantee in case of damage. Contacted by third party website he says that I stated I wouldn't pay him, which was indeed false. Not trustworthy. The fact that you did so says a lot about the way you treat your potential clients and represents an attempt to force me to delete my review. Secondly, during the reservation I opted for payment at the beginning of my stay at your villa, so of course no payment was made beforehand. You did not pre-authorise my card, you simply TOOK money from my card, as confirmed by my bank. In those conditions, why would still come to your establishment? What trust or sense of security would anyone have, in my place? By the way, once the free cancellation or modification period expired and as soon as I realised my mistake (but before I noticed my money was gone), I tried to negotiate with you to reduce the period from 11 to 7 days for a lesser amount, which you refused. In that case, I asked if I could cancel the trip and you declined that too, so we finally agreed that I would come for fewer days and with the same sum of money, and you would upgrade the booked room. I said yes, because it was my fault for missing the free modification date and because I hadn't yet checked my bank account... By the way, while pre-authorising a card is a well-known process, as you state, let me inform you that no other hotel manager ever took money from my card before you. To top it all, when we spoke afterwards you didn't even mention it. Then you posted on that same third party site the room I had reserved initially. Therefore, not only you will get full payment from me, but you will get a double payment when someone makes a new reservation for the same room....

We had the Cinema Suite, which has a downstairs kitchen/living area with a sleeper sofa, which our teen nephew said was comfortable. My wife and I slept in the comfortable king-size bed in the loft. It's worth noting that the stairs to the loft are quite steep--verging on a ladder. The loft and the downstairs had separate air conditioning controls, so it was easy to keep both spaces cool in hot and humid Cannes. Free wifi worked great. We had a balcony with a powered retractable awning. The view was not stunning, but pleasant, and it was a nice place to relax. The shower was hot with good pressure. The Villa is impeccably maintained, tastefully decorated and appointed, quiet, and comfortable.||||We happened to stay in Cannes right after the catastrophic flooding hit the lower elevations. Fortunately, Villa Etoile is up in the hills a bit, so it was unaffected. But none of the merchants were able to take credit cards due to flooding damage, with even the banks shut down. We arrived without cash and found that we were basically stranded without a way to even buy food. That is where the owner of Villa Etoile, Pascal, went above and beyond to salvage our vacation by helping us withdraw cash from an ATM in another town. ||||Overall, even after a devastating flood, Cannes is a fun place to visit. But our stay would have been far less enjoyable if not for the extraordinary...

I just left my room this morning and I couldn’t wait to arrive to my second destination before writing my review! I booked my room at villa etoile de Cannes online and didn’t know much what to expect knowing that most of the time pictures on internet tend to show us the best angles and the best views. Littlest did I know that what I saw on the website was exactly what we got. And what an amazing surprise that was! The room is impeccably clean and spacious and quiet beautifully furnished. But this is not the best part of the hotel, the actual plus of the hotel is the amazingly helpful and charming host who coached me throughout the whole process of the booking with some issues I had. Obviously he has experience in this business. Another plus is the beautiful location. In a severely posh quiet area yet still at a walking distance of everything that is interesting in Cannes and the seaside. Definitely an experience am...
