Despite probably trying they just consistantly miss the mark. The staff are rushing around looking stressed or others are sat back appearing disinterested. The interior is dated in parts but generally ok, the wall paper appears to have been applied with hast and lack of care which seemed to set the tone throughout the establishment. There is a general grubbyness throughout. The shower in our ensuite bathroom was in need of a good scrub to remove the heavy stains to the shower head, grouting and seals. The toilet was damaged in two places and the attempted repair fell way below par. The bathroom door was filthy, and operated in such a manner that it made a lot of noise, which is not helpful during the night. The bed was of a good quality and the sheets very soft. The free parking is a public carpark, a fair few minutes away around the one way system and along the seafront. Breakfast is not of a great quality, especially for €15, (stated as free at point of booking), although there is a wide choice the instant coffee was particularly disappointing. The dining room and seat pads could do with a deep clean. The towels are small but dressing gowns are provided which was...
Read moreNice room, nice decor, lovely en-suite. Tea/coffee - no milk so no use to us. Was offered breakfast, but we were just passing through so didn’t have it. ||Other guests were very noisy and being an old building you could hear people going up and down the stairs. Another English family seemed to think it acceptable for their children to be running up and down and shouting at almost midnight; so it was noisy. ||Nice location once you are checked in, very central.||Major issue is the parking. Booking.com showed this as having parking, but this was not the case. Parking on Le Touquet is confusing with red and green zones and time limits to park in both. We ended up parking a good 10 minutes away from the hotel - not ideal with luggage - especially if you are travelling with small children or...

What matters most is not the quality of the lamp fixtures or bathroom - though they are important too - but the human dimension. We arrived at Les Embruns tired and roadside after a couple of difficult days for my wife. I explained the situation to the manager, who immediately upgraded us to a lovely garden suite- a huge, light space with a wonderful king size bed and a shower about the size of my living room. The hotel is a pebble's throw from the beach and a short walk from the main thoroughfares where there is a plethora of restaurants and bars. Highly...
