Last month we were fortunate to stay with Melanie and Pascal Dupont at their B&B in Avignon. While we had a bit of trouble at first locating the house because the GPS was showing us a different routre which was a dreadful little path of an unfinished road, when I called Melanie she was there to find us and guide us to the correct route within minutes!!! After that we had no more problems as I updated my Tom Tom.||Our separate little home away from the main house was a great gift for our 33 wedding aniversary. We enjoyed the peaceful setting, the swimming pool and the breakfast chats with the hosts and other guests. We felt at home. Especially wondeful was little Lulu and of course Jules (Vern).||The room had everything we needed, it was spotless and the hot water was always hot and plentiful. A very large bed with comfortable mattress, french doors for plenty of light, air conditioning, lots of room for our baggage and so quiet!||We asked for 8 am breakfast which was promptly served at 8am, except we did not wake up until 9am. Haha. Melanie was smiling at us and never mentioned the time lapse. Wondeful hostess indeed.||There is plenty of parking and the house is situated in a very quiet neighborhood and yet only 7-8 minutes walk down hill into Villeneuve D'Avignon. (the return is slightly uphill and after a bottle or two of local wine the 7 or 8 minutes feel like a lot longer).||A quaint little vilage with great restaurants, music nightly and bus service into Avignon every 5 or 10 minutes. The bus stop is just outside the tourist information centre. The ride into Avignon is no more than 8 minutes including trafic stops. Plenty to do and see in Avignon with market days, many hidden gems for french cuisine and certainly the Palais de Popes. ||Avignon needs more than 3 days that we had if you could use it as your centre to explore all the small villages of the wine region all around the Provence area. It is certainly a do-over place and when we do come back we will be visiting little Lulu and her family once again for sure.||Merci beaucoup Melanie and Pascal....
Read moreWe came for the Avignon Theater Festival for a 4-day stay. We were 3, my husband, my 9-year old son and myself. Since we drove from Switzerland we came 3 hours before the check-in time. Thierry who welcomed us was very friendly and very helpful. He offered us to store our belongings and to use the pool already. This was fantastic. Looking at the environment we felt right away at home and vacation at the same time. Our room was perfectly clean. Even a sofa bed was arranged for our son. In the room we had a small kitchen too which is so practical especially for families. In the fridge there was fresh orange juice, milk and butter and some very delicious yoghurt ready for us for free. Also free and a lot of coffee and jam was delivered with some local fresh fruits. When we had questions Thierry was there to help us always reachable and very friendly which was so exceptional. Fresh bread and croissants are being delivered every morning by Thierry from the bakery. The pattio is great tonhave dinners and breakfast outside with sone privacy. There is also air conditioning (we had two) which is perfect since in July the weather gets very hot.
Overall:
If you are looking for a fantastic place to stay with privacy and want to pass a wonderful calm holiday - this is the place to go. I would recommend it with 100 % satisfaction rate. And I am sure ones you have been there and experienced this exceptional location; you will want to come back. This is what we will do. We are looking forward to come back here next year!

The villa is nestled in a hilly natural setting, but still within convenient walking distance from Villeneuve-lès-Avignon's center and restaurants.
The space is thought out with the satisfaction of its customers in mind and Thierry, the owner, is the cordial face to put to this delightful establishment. He greeted and walked us through the entire space and set the mood for what was to be a relaxing and friendly atmosphere within its grounds. The thoughtful details, which Thierry carried out for us, like the daily "goodie bag" he left each morning for us for breakfast, with croissants, bread, and pain au chocolat, refilling our fridge with yogurt, fresh juice, and milk while we were away or inviting us to collect fresh eggs from his hen houses, went a long way in our appreciation for his hospitality.
Our lodging was charmingly decorated and practically organized to fit everything we needed for our stay, without compromising its spaciousness. Together with the serene garden and alluring pool, the entire place exudes tranquility, privacy, harmony, and a picturesque tastefulness that is very hard to rip yourself from at the end.
On top of everything, we had lots of fun with Puce, the small jack russell terrier, who was an energetic and entertaining presence at the pool, clearly communicating he wanted us to play with him.
The entire experience here left an indelible impression on us and we will...
