Being a silver member, we requested late check out when we booked on the official ALL Accor website. We requested again while checking in at the hotel. The reception lady told us we could leave at 4pm. On the last day of stay, when we returned to the hotel at ~2pm, we couldn’t open the door with the key card. When we asked the reception, the staff told us impolitely that they had moved all our stuff and luggage out of the room because we didn’t check out on time. We found that our things were messed up in an old Carrefour plastic bag. My wife’s newly bought hat, which was her birthday present, was pressed to deform and likely could not be used again. Our food was placed on top of our dirty slippers. The staff checked with the lady who helped us check in and confirmed we did request late check out. Initially he didn’t want to give the room back to us saying the room had already been cleaned. Finally we reluctantly let us use the room so that we could pack our stuff and clean up our things. The staff wasn’t polite making us feel it was our fault.
Update: When we checked out, another staff asked me if I had paid for late check out. I had to mention the fourth time that I was a silver member and could have free late check out. He was puzzled and I told him to ask another staff who should know that. Then he said he found it in the system. I have to say that the service in this hotel is definitely not up to the ibis standard. The hotel management must do something...
Read moreThis hotel’s only redeeming factor is its location, in saying this if you are a lone traveler I would not feel safe walking into/back from the city via a subway (this was fine as a group). The hotel room was extremely basic and was lacking elements comparable budget hotels have as standard like a safe, kettle, or adequate plugs. I ended up having to charge a phone in the bathroom over night. Do not book a twin room unless you are comfortable sleeping in essentially the same bed as your roommate as this is comprised of a double bed with 2 camping mattress on top, which continuously slip off. The room was clean however the air conditioning didn’t work, the towels were very small, and we were given a fan to cool the room down but this was extremely noisy. The breakfast was extremely disappointing and not safe for anyone with an allergy or intolerance. Very limited options for any veggies/vegans. No allergens clearly marked. If you are looking for just a bed to sleep in with quick and easy access to the city, this hotel is fine. If you’re looking for something a little bit more comfortable with adequate and functioning facilities this is not the hotel for you. This has the potential to be a very nice hotel for people visiting the area, but the facilities are insufficient, the twin rooms are not twin rooms, and broken air conditioning is just not...
Read moreTypical Ibis stay, which is generally very good. We are here in Nantes again for Hellfest and normally stay at the Ibis Styles across from the train station but decided on this property because it is a shorter walk from the train station south exit. |Everyone was extremely nice and accommodating given the amount of people staying because of the festival and some other function. ||That being said I am dropping the rating several stars because of the air conditioning situation. They advertise A/C but it wasn’t coming on during the day and barely worked at night. Over a 4 day period the temperature ranged from 90F (32C) to 97F (36C). The rooms were roasting hot. Every time we complained we were told it was being worked on. Finally on the 3rd day we were told it was being shut off during the day to keep from overloading the system. That’s fine but the A/C needs to be advertised as “only available during the time of day when least needed and the rooms will be unbearably hot the rest of the day, but we will give you a small noisy fan”. As far as I’m concerned I deserve a partial refund. And yes, I realize Europeans view A/C a lot different than Americans, but don’t advertise something that’s really not available in any...
