We called up the hotel at 9 AM asking if early check in (11am) is possible, the receptionist said yes your room is ready. We reached at 11:40 only to be told that the room is not ready and we have to wait, finally room was ready at 12:50, the official check in time is 12pm. We also learn that the central air conditioning is not working. However this was not mentioned during the booking. It was very hot in the room and they didn’t even have fans. The Room- since it was hot outside and no air con, we had to open the windows which invited a lot of flies. The room was clean. At night as we had to keep the windows open there are dogs that kept barking the whole night from the parking area of the property.
I was travelling with my family and had a new born and a 5 year old. We didn’t sleep much during the night due to the dogs and spent time sleeping during the day.
We also complained but received no response from the hotel. The complaint number is 19….
I have stayed in ibis styles which is far better than this IBIS.
The Staff- The staff overall lacks the professionalism and a sense of customer support except the guy who works at the restaurant for breakfast and then does housekeeping. I heard a lot of gossip about guests and the other staff members that the receptionists keep talking among themselves. The staff is also doing a lot of multi roles like the receptionists turns into a chef during the weekends serving guests as well as welcoming the new guests. So it will take a lot longer for your food to show up.
For us this trip was not for vacation or business but had family member in a hospital nearby so we were forced to stay.

The hotel is nicely decorated in the public areas, and has a modern look with a traditional twist. It looks like it has been done recently. The bar is very pleasant for an evening drink and the restaurant was great! For a chain hotel the evening food was of excellent quality, we were very impressed. That alone would likely make us choose this hotel again if we were in the area. The breakfast selection was very extensive and was all lovely and fresh, I was also surprised to be able to get a cup of Earl Grey tea! The room was a little shabby, could do with a lick of paint, a carpet clean and a couple of items were poorly repaired but the shower was really great and the bed was very comfortable. Read moreWhen checking in, we were asked to pay 50 euro deposit as a warranty with credit card. But the staff didn’t explain well what is for unless you ask some questions about it. We didn’t have credit cards so in the end we don’t need to pay it. It’s weird that the hotel differentiates cases when you have and not have a credit card. At 8:30 when we were still sleeping, someone opened our door which I locked the night before. Luckily our dog started to bark or else I don’t know what gonna happen. I don’t feel safe sleeping here if someone could came in to wake you up. Tram stop is a bit far by foot. It’s noisy from 8:00 am outside since there’s construction.
