What an odd experience this one was! It was fine for the single night we stayed, but I'm also glad we didn't stay longer. First, if you have any accessibility issues whatsoever, this is probably not the hotel for you. The staff was kind enough to help us with our bags, but there is no way into the hotel itself without navigating stairs—same for our rooms, even though they were on the ground floor. I strongly recommend to management to look into a ramp, because wow, that was unpleasant. (And a drain on the staff's time, having to stop to help guests navigate unnecessary stairs!) The staff as a whole seemed very young but eager to please and were the highlight of our stay.||The room was tiny tiny tiny—we had to open our suitcases on our beds (gross) because there was literally no room to do so anywhere else, not even one of those fold-out stool things. There was also outlets only on one side of the room, so with two people, one of you is going to be out of luck. The most baffling thing of all, however, was the bathroom, which I joked seemed liked it was made for perverts. First, there is a clear window the FULL LENGTH of the shower, which maybe seems fine when you're bunking with a spouse but less so when rooming with, say, your parent. Not only does this window provide unbroken, uncomfortable eye contact while naked, but it also means that you cannot use the bathroom with the light on while the other person is sleeping, because the light shines straight down on the bed! I don't understand why instead of the creepy, transparent red film they didn't just frost the window. The privacy cling film costs $10 a roll. The bathroom itself is blocked off by a pocket door... with a one-inch gap right by the toilet, on the other side of which is the only full-length mirror in the quarter. Like I said, a bathroom for...
Read moreThere were multiple issues during our stay at this hotel. First of all, the hotel felt more like a bed and breakfast than a 3 star hotel. Although we booked a privilege room but it was so small that it resembles the coffin apartments in Hong Kong and there were multiple suspicious stains on the curtains and walls. Secondly, requesting for extra pillows or towels was a chore as their phone does not work so you'd have to go to the receptionist to ask for it and they would always tell you that they only have one. On our third night of stay, the housekeeping did not give us new towels and amazingly hung our towels back on the rack when it was already placed on the toilet floor, so I went to ask for new ones when the receptionist told me they only have one left. An entire hotel and only one extra towel, funny. Also the bathtub wasn't working the entire time and although informed on the very first night, they did not fix the issue even though it was promised that it would be fixed the following day as they have to request a technician over. It was only until the fourth day, which was the very last day of our stay that I decided to make a fuss about it (which was advised by another receptionist because apparently it's a recurring issue of the facilities not working) and a old white lady came out and tried to brush the situation off. She was also very rude and aggressive with handling the matter, and tried to undermine the situation by gaslighting me. It was a very unpleasant stay and experience dealing with the receptionists at the hotel as there seems in be multiple internal miscommunications (like get a WhatsApp group chat or something instead of leaving a note for the next roster so that things would actually be fixed). Definitely would not recommend if you're looking to stay at an actual hotel, get an...
Read moreThe location is fantastic, the hotel being in the middle of the street between two different metro lines. I stayed here for one night following a gig at the Accor Arena and it was perfectly located for that. I was surprised at how quiet the room was, no noise from the street at all. I will note however that being on the ground floor meant that I was awoken early by traffic from other guests to the breakfast room and smoking area. If you are a late riser, I would suggest requesting a room on the first floor or above. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The room was clean enough but very tired and dank. I think being on the ground floor had a lot to do with this. It smelled faintly of sewage and had black mould in areas in the bathroom and around the bed. I had to get rid of a centipede that was running around the room and a few small flies before sleeping. All that being said, I did feel that the cleaning staff had made the best of the hand they had been dealt and the room was as good as it could be. In short, this hotel was fine for a 1 night stay when only really being in the room to sleep. I would not want to stay in the same room type for longer than necessary on a return trip. I would give this hotel another go as a guest in a different room as the staff and location...
